• Justice for Trayvon Martin
Trayvon Martin was attacked and killed by a vigilante. His young life was cut short at age 17 by a man who was told by the police to stay in his car and not interfere with a situation they were called out to. However now the police are not conducting a proper investigation and are obstructing a full inquest into the facts.

  • Justice for Trayvon Martin
Justice for Trayvon Martin. There is no case for self defense on the part of an obese privileged white male that simply feels he was justified in shooting and killing a 16 yr old he stated was coming at him , or simply bc this man was intimated by this young man's race and style of dress!! This is a sad day I'm America if nothing is done to bring this man to justice because he doesn't have the right to take a young man's life!!

  • Sentencing Disparity & Petition Seek Sentence Modification
Event: FREE DANNY MEANS! LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD!!! My nephew, Danny E. Means, has been incarcerated for 15 years because of his involvement in a series of crimes stemming from a 1997 bank robbery. Of the 3 men involved with these crimes, only Danny received the lengthy sentence of 120 years. The others served less than 8 years, while Danny remains incarcerated. All 3 men were involved in these crimes that had potential for harm but no one was injured or killed. Even so, the prosecution was allowed to increase low-level charges to more serious charges. Not for the purpose of bringing justice to the matter, but for no other reason than to get the largest sentence possible for Danny. You see, we the family and friends of Danny do not condone his actions in any shape, form or fashion, and neither does Danny! However, nor do we condone an "in-justice" system that allows such grievous racial disparity in its sentencing. Danny received a sentence twice that of the maximum for murder and much more than a white male of the same age would have received for the same charges. Furthermore, statistics show that by the end of 2005, 8.1% of black males age 25-29 were incarcerated compared to 1.1% white males for the same charges. We his family and friends are not claiming that Danny is innocent. Only that his sentence is unjust and we refuse to let this unjust sentence hang over his head for approximately the next 30 years left on his sentence without our voices being heard! Help us speak out about the injustice and sentence disparity being done to all black men and Danny by following this link: Thank you for your support and your prayers.

  • End the violence in Syria without US Military Involvement
Our nation expresses its sympathy to the citizens of Syria who are suffering and witnessing murder and torture directed at them by Syria's President, Bashar al-Assad. But compassion will not stop the violence. There is another way without the military involvement that risks soldiers and civilians. We suggest a reward of at least $10,000,000 (that's 0.0000115 of the military part of the approved US Discretionary budget for FY 2012) for the safe delivery of Bashar al-Assad, President of Syria, to the International Court of Justice, for trial on charges of crimes against humanity. This offer means no military intervention; no one gets killed -- neither military nor civilian, captor or offendor. Justice prevails -- peacefully.

  • Travon Martin
Travon Martin a young black teenage male shot down in cold blood because of a thought not actual threat... Not one weopon did Travon have... simply only a bag of skittles and a can of tea.. Mr. Zimmerman has not yet.. Been arrested for this terrible crime.. Why so many ask? Who does he know or working for? 9-1-1 call is proof beyond a reasonable doubt... Travon died begging for his life... Three bullets... fired.. Not one... So this also proves according to statues Mr. Zimmerman intentionally wanted to kill Travon.. Intent to kill... So again my question is... Why is Mr. Zimmerman still walking as a free man..?

  • Take a look at our justice system
Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch captain because he looked suspicious while waliking back from the store to his father's home in a gated community. Was this a reason to kill this teenager? Could there have been another solution? Why haven't the police arrested the alleged person , George Zimmerman that fired this fatal shot. Please sign this petition if you think George Zimmerman should be arrested, and a deeper investigation done about this fatality.

  • Breach in Neighborhood Watch Policies
Recently an unarmed youth, the late Mr. Trayvon Martin, was gunned down by a self-proclaimed neighborhood watch volunteer. We would like to know why the Sanford Police Department did not have law enforcement officers monitoring and training this private "volunteer effort." Neighborhood Watch is a nationally recognized organization sponsored by Law Enforcement agencies all over the nation. The volunteer efforts of citizens are monitored and training hours are required before a resident can distribute information, attend meetings, or call a local law enforcement agency to report a crime, or suspicious activity. Any Neighborhood Watch volunteer is knowledgeable in following proper procedure because the Law Enforcement response time is quicker. According to the "nationally" recognized procedure: A) State name, organization (ex: Neighborhood Watch Block/Member) B) Reason for call C) Identifying clothes, tag#, direction alledged individual(s) are traveling. D) Release call if no further info required E) Alert residents listed on "Telephone Chain" card of this action. The suspect in the Martin case, George Zimmerman, did not follow proper procedure. He did not identify himself-according to the 911 tapes-as a Neighborhood Watch Representative. There are various items which identify an individual as "acting suspiciously." Zimmerman did not effectively report why he considered the actions of this "unarmed youth" as suspicious behavior. The vague terminology used in itself did not warrant for "Zimmerman" to pursue Mr. Martin. There are certain guidelines which deem whether activity is suspicious: --Someone screaming or shouting for help --Someone looking into windows and parked cars --Unusual noises --Property being taken out of houses where no one is at home or a business is closed --Cars, vans or trucks moving slowly without apparent destination, or without lights --Anyone being forced into a vehicle --A stranger sitting in a car or stopping to talk to a child --Abandoned cars We would also like to know what training material or guidelines was "Zimmerman" following? If this is a private "watch" sponsored by the Home Owners Association for this Sanford personal property; there has been a serious breach in protocol. Who will be held accountable for this breach in policy? Tina Chestnut Neighborhood Watch Block Captain District 5 (Orlando, Florida)

  • Justice for Trayvon Martin
17 year old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed while walking home from a convenience store on the evening of February 26th. The shooter, George Zimmerman, was the neighborhood watch captain. Zimmerman, a 200 pound 28 year old with a history of violence, claimed self defense although Trayvon Martin, with no criminal history, had nothing more than candy and an iced tea in his hands. George Zimmerman remains free.

  • Help Change the Unethical Practices Imposed on Ex-Offenders and Felons
Former inmates are being prosecuted even outside of the judicial system daily upon release. With a criminal record, convicts find it difficult to find a place to contribute for the good of society. The American judicial system have put in place a catch twenty-two loop hole, where ex-offenders and felons find difficult to adapt. Congress has a $50 million budget designated to help ex-offenders and convicted felons with employment. Help bring this forward so ex-offenders and felons can make their contribution to society.
