A dog beloved by shelter volunteers was put down today. As a member of a rescue group, my appeal to rescue the dog and accept all risk and liability was denied.

  • Byram, NJ Raise The NJ206 Speed Limit
The 35mph speed limit is too slow to be safe, and needs to be increased. There are sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian crossing signals to keep foot traffic safe. There are 3 traffic lights that control traffic flow and they provide plenty of breaks in traffic so people can get in and out of local businesses. Those arguments for a 35mph speed limit bear no merit and do not hold water. Byram's only reason left is the stated goal of distracting drivers from driving so they will pay more attention to local businesses. Byram should not be trying to distract driver's attention from the road for the alleged gain of local businesses. Byram offers no proof that a lower speed limit does, in fact, achieve their stated goal. Is there any proof tha a speed limit of 35mph results in more business than a speed limit of 40? North of Shoprite there are no businesses, so why does the speed limit stay 35mph all the way to Lakeland Emergency Squad? I spoke to a representative of NJDOT in reference to my complaint. She was familiar with the section of highway in question, agreed with me and wished me luck. Byram, this is EVERYONE'S highway. Why don't you do the right thing and implement the speed limits I've suggested, as it was before the construction? People just want to get home. Drivers have enough distractions without Byram adding to them. Increase the speed limit. I was passed by 7 vehicles as I drove through there last Sunday at 35. My town's mayor was passed by a school bus Tuesday evening when he drove through at the speed limit. It isn't right for Byram to make every driver a law breaker. Current and proposed legislation and Executive actions to limit Carbon Dioxide are counter-productive, unnecessary and expensive. Check the facts, not the hype.

  • Renovate Clark Playground
I'm starting this petition because a park (Moore Park) not too far from where I live got renovated. In addition to that, they attached another building to the field house at that park which is almost complete. If that park can get a complete renovation, Clark Playground can, too. 13 years without a basketball tournament is a long time and I wanna break that streak. It's long overdue!

  • Privacy for a price
Service Providers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, etc. are selling our private information to NSA. Innocent people are targeted everyday and they are treated inappropriately based on the information so gathered. This should be stopped.

On November 5, 2014 538 video copies of the full record of the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure (CHD) were shipped to all members of the United States Congress. Shortly after these 10-DVD sets are received, PRG's registered lobbyist, Stephen Bassett, will renew direct engagement of the U. S. Congress for the first time since 2000 seeking new congressional hearings on extraterrestrial related phenomena. http://paradigmresearchgroup.org, http://youtu.be/WZBN_9NMhUA

  • Anti-Clinton Progressives Seek Parley with Warren & Sanders
Sens. Warren and Sanders have offered progressives about the only hope we have of being represented by the next U.S. president. However, with Sen. Warren supporting Hillary Clinton, a "perfect storm" is in place for them to play "useful idiots" for candidate Clinton to coopt their progressive rhetoric and betray it as president. Unless Clinton's oligarch donors are stupid, we all need to stop her candidacy dead in its tracks.

  • Tell Grapevine Animal Shelter to Allow Pit Bull Adoptions
There are wonderful, easily adoptable dogs at risk of being euthanized at Grapevine Animal Shelter because the city is not allowing the public to adopt them. They are networked by volunteers, but the shelter does not allow you to work with the dogs in any way without training for almost four months with the police department. This limits many citizens' abilities to enter the shelter's program and assist. It's important to understand this affects our tax dollars, strains rescue resources greatly, and causes the deaths of dogs who would otherwise be beloved companions.
