2 years, U.S. citizen has undergone beatings and no medical care.We want Hassan Rouhani President of Iran to free a US prisoner. As he attends UN talks and makes calm claims and thanks the world for their alliances to eradicate "terrorism" he leaves clear messages in his speech and actions that expose his real intentions. In his speech he states that the world must do everything it can to stop terrorism and makes it clear that as long as tiny fractions exist the world should be in fear... so in cryptic language he is saying basically there is nothing you can do to stop them and the terror they seek to project. And he clearly holds an American in prison that is beaten and treated terribly for 2 years. Cut the crap, send a clear thank you to the world’s leader in fighting terrorism and free an innocent US citizen.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John

MCPS Holiday PetitionAs an international student with an East Asian background first enrolled in MCPS in 2011, I acknowledge that the Jewish New Year is one of the official holidays in the school district; however, Lunar New Year, one of the most significant holidays appreciated by East Asian cultures, is not. I understand MCPS has a growing Asian population and I wish this petition could persuade MCPS to adopt Lunar New Year as one of its official holidays.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Daiwei Li

Tighten underage drinking laws.My son Matthew Carr was at an underage party. The legal age for drinking in Missouri is twenty one. He was seventeen. The police left them at the party. No one tried to take his keys. The police did not take him to jail or call parents. Two and a half hours later he was dead, as he hit a tree driving home.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Debbie Carr

Keep Yoga Classes in The Silverlake MeadowOur goal is to continue providing quality public yoga classes at the Silverlake Meadow with support of the city of Los Angeles by having the option to obtain a permit to instruct classes in the park. At the present time, the city's policy is NOT to offer permits for the meadow, which is confounding. We offer yoga classes at the meadow to promote health, wellness, fitness and happiness to our community at an affordable price. We believe we are offering a positive service that honors the uniqueness of the residents and neighborhood of Silverlake with little or no-impact to the park itself. We are also tired of being harassed and threatened on a continuous basis by the LAPD officers who have been called to our meadow classes by one irate and annoyed Silverlake resident. This resident has shouted and screamed directly to Stefani Manger, the founder of the Collective on two different accounts to make it clear we were not welcomed by her or the law. Please allow us to teach peaceful yoga classes lawfully in our beloved meadow. Thank you and namaste, Stefani Manger, the teachers and students of the Silverlake Meadow Yoga Collective227 of 300 SignaturesCreated by stefani manger

emergency response for animals in needI was driving down the road when I spotted a woman walking a severely emaciated dog. The dog could hardly walk and she continued to pull the leash and force it to walk even though it seemed to be in pain. I called 911 and they transferred me to animal control. Animal control told me to file a complaint online. This dog will most likely never be seen again and will probably die of starvation. We need to have some sort of emergency response for these animals. Whether it be a local police department or more accountablily from animal control, something needs to change. If it were a starving child, they would not have been forgotten on the side of the road.46 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karen Barnett

Snacks for Cardinal RidgeThe students and teachers at Cardinal Ridge Elementary School should be allowed to have a snack during the school day. A hungry child loses interest in the subject matter they are studying. In addition to the educational benefits, snacking meets a necessary physical need for the students. Since children have smaller stomachs than adults, healthy snacking between meals provides nutrients to help them meet their daily nutritional needs. The USDA reports that healthy snacks can satisfy nutrient gaps and provide up to 1/4 of a child’s daily energy needs.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Parents of Cardinal Ridge

A voice for Fitchburg AnimalsSocial media has proven instrumental at reuniting lost and or missing pets. Cross posting assists with animal adoptions. With our neighboring city/towns utilizing Facebook as a go to source, Fitchburg remains a "secrete society". Where no one has open informational access to our displaced animals. I have created this petition because of a very painful experience that changed my life. A dog expressing dangerous aggressive behavior was brought into the now closed city shelter, that someone was looking for him. I believe if Fitchburg had a policy of open social media, that dog would have been claimed. The system failed with a breakdown in communication and a tragic set of events occurred. Join me in asking that the city change it's policy. Ask for an open access Fitchburg Animal Control Facebook page be created and utilized with every animal in it's care. Update the city official web site with current animal related information; when are dog licenses due, what the feline policy is, how to obtain an application for a kennel license and the email direct to animal control. Publish our adoptable animals on Petfinder. These changes will save lives, reunite pets quicker and get animals adopted faster. It will keep residents informed of local-state laws. Bringing peace of mind our city is full disclosure.108 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Amy Egeland
