Stop Juvenile Sex CrimesA parent should be charged with child neglect, child abuse and child endangerment when they ignore the signs of their child being a sexual predator. When a child is accused of sexual battery, counseling should be mandatory, not wait until there is a second or a third victim. My son became a victim when he was 3; nothing was done about it so now my 2 year old is a victim. Enough is enough! It needs to be stopped! No child should ever suffer from this awful crime, it stays with them forever. All children need to be protected.513 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Jennifer Vanderbur

They need our help. It is time for these powerful Indian-American CEO’s of global corporations to speak up and help build the support that is so desperately needed. I am a mom, I am Indian–American. I was the first generation of my family born in the US. I have many family members living in India and I have had the opportunity to travel extensively through the country as an adult, and I spent many of my summers in India as a child. I have made connections, I have seen the beauty, I have seen the sadness, and this is why this issue hits home. Not to mention I have two beautiful daughters. Right now I am angry and completely heartbroken. I also feel completely helpless. That is why I am doing this. Please join me and supporting and helping these women and girls who are having their precious lives taken from them in the most horrific ways. It is our responsibility to push people with powerful voices to use those voices where they are needed most and to use those voices loudly.195 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Khosla

Sue The Speaker. The Speaker has been unwilling to bring legislation to the floor, to the detriment of The American People and our democracy. It is our contention that his [in]actions are driven solely by a desire to have President Obama fail. We would have him tried in civil court because civilian lives are being negatively impacted on a daily basis.98 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Newell

East Akron Community Takes A Stand: Akron Council We Want EACH -- Our Community House -- Back!My name is Mrs. Georgia Bell, my family came to Akron in 1953 from the south. The East Akron Community House (EACH) was there to help out. The city of Akron now owns our building. We were poor. We went to EACH for cooking classes, sewing, anything that would occupy our time in summer and winter. When I grew up my kids went there. I want East Akron children to know EACH is there to help them succeed and grow in their lives, to have the experience my children had. Parents can come there for anything they need and suggest what their children need. I want Akron City Council to return EACH to ownership and control by the revitalized Board of Directors and residents.479 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Georgia Bell

Regulate Cannabis Like AlcoholCannabis prohibition is negatively effecting our communities, including contributing to Delaware's violence epidemic, while police manpower and resources are being diverted to non-violent cannabis possession arrests. Delaware can't afford this costly, unscientific based policy, ($13.2 million wasted annually just on possession arrests.) Colorado's tax revenue has significantly increased, they created many jobs, & their crime rate has decreased since regulation. It is time to bring the jobs and money back to Delaware.344 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Cannabis Bureau of Delaware

Make Belynda Cleare the next host of the ViewDaytime TV talk shows are saturated with celebrities voicing their opinions and views on the world and society. I think it's about time we have a regular everyday person who can connect with the viewers. Having not been born into privilege, managing to go from below the poverty level to middle class in a couple of decades with motivation and hard work is proof that anyone can fulfill the American dream if they stay committed. True diversity and reality is rare on TV and with the recent departure of the majority of the View's cast, I believe I would make the perfect addition to the cast.213 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Belynda Cleare

Stop luxury taxes on Feminie hygiene products!Illinois tax revenue tax's Illinois citizens 6.25% for things that are considered "luxury". Luxury items in their eyes are things that could be lived without, therefore they do not need a lower tax rate. The lower tax rate is 1%, this 1% applies to things that we need like certain medicines (that fall under their guidelines) and other items. Why are feminine hygiene products considered a luxury? Is it our choice to have a period every month? Could we live without them? I don't think so, and think that the women of Illinois agree with me. Please sign and let's make a change!38 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rachel cope

No More EnterpriseParents at Premier Martial Arts should bring there kids to a karate school and park their car up to the building and come in. Unfortunately Enterprise Car Rental business next door takes up majority of the parking in the shopping center, therefore the children and parents have to park very far making it very difficult to the children to make their classes.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jeff asesor

New Mexico: Support Innovation. We Need It.Over two years ago, we came together around our shared dedication to building alternative philanthropic models, specifically those that support New Mexico’s most culturally and economically vital nonprofit arts organizations. We incorporated as Catalyst Club and began work on our first project: ArtBar – a membership-based nonprofit club in Downtown Albuquerque that would generate grant funds through the sale of alcohol. We are incredibly saddened to report that we will be closing ArtBar in July of 2014 after an incredible year of operations. The State of New Mexico’s Alcohol & Gaming Department has, through subjective and arbitrary interpretation of regulations, made it impossible for us to continue this enterprise. We are, of course, upset by the loss of ArtBar and of the beautiful micro-community that blossomed around it. We are most distraught, though, by the circumstances surrounding its closure. We want to treat this as an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and change. Please join us.1,536 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Julia Mandeville
