20,000 Hoosiers have signed petitions and 41 school boards have signed resolutions in support of Central Time for Indiana. On their behalf and that of the 1.35 million students whose safety and educational well-being are being compromised, and on behalf of the Indiana businesses that are being inconvenienced by Eastern Time, I request that a legislative study committee be established to evaluate Indiana’s time designations. That way an educated decision can be made to either keep it as it is or take the steps to return Indiana to its original Central Time Zone. You are the state’s leaders and you have the power to get this done. Please, do it!

The US is awash with guns. There is no need for anyone to own a military style assault weapon and gun magazines loaded with bullets. I am ashamed that the US has many more guns than other advanced nations I want to be proud of our country. So please sign this petition so that we may have new gun policies that will reduce the number of gun deaths in inner cities and gun massacres such as the one in Newtown, CT, that broke the nation's heart.

The constant rhetoric of radical gun lobbyists is stopping the rational implementation of common sense actions to stop gun violence. Gun violence is due to the easy availability of guns to criminals.

Our local community burn pile was closed due to abuse, and the rest of us were left with nowhere to dispose of fallen branches, yard waste, downed trees, etc. We want to work with the city to find a way to bring it back and prevent abuse.

I would like to start a petition to require all vehicles in the State of South Carolina to require vehicle inspections on every vehicle registered in the state, similar to that of vehicles in North Carolina. In particular, setting a standard for minimum tire tread depth's. I have personally witnessed way to many vehicles with bald tires and small children in the back seat of them. These are moving missiles that can tragically change the course of a human being's life in seconds. The greater the tread depth, the greater room for water to pass thru and evacuate the tire, creating a larger contact patch of rubber on the road, increasing traction, decreasing hydroplaning, and leading to an enhanced overall control.

Mass transit is a win-win for Maryland: it helps to create good jobs and it it helps improve and protect the environment by getting cars off the roads. We petition Governor O'Malley, the Maryland House and the Maryland Senate to begin building plans that would allow us to transform Maryland into a greener state with a more solid economy.
