• Gun Voilence, and Innocent Victims charged for first degree murders, Discrimination against Afric...
My petition is about three prominent issues: Gun Control for each citizen who has possession of any armed weapons (guns or otherwise) in this community (Especially citizens who are violent prone). Secondly an individual charged with cases (They are/have served a sentence) but they did not commit should in some way be compensated and their name publicly and physically (on paper) cleared. The third issue is "The Fair Sentencing Act", in which people of color should have equal consideration as other White counterparts have in these cases. The forth issue is that marijuana should never be legalized in the state of Maryland even for cancer patients because that are less threatening things to use to treat cancer. Finally, those persons involved in re-entering into the community should have the proper mandated training and skills to re enter into the community for lower recidivism rates.

  • Strengthen The Second Amendment
We the people urge you to respect the Second Amendment of the United States of America and to stop trying to erode it little by little with a law here and there. Leave it alone. I feel that the Second Amendment has been weakened too much as it is and would like to see it strengthened by having any law to do with any firearm, sidearm, shotgun, machine gun or future weapon to supersede these weapons be repealed and made illegal to restrict now and in the future. There is no need for gun control any longer. It has proven to be ineffective and harmful to children. How many more people have to die before we realize that the Second Amendment could have saved us if we were only allow to exercise it. I am not asking you to repeal it or to touch the second amendment in any way. Its well written as is and speaks well for itself and its intentions are clear. I am asking you to recognize it for what it and protect it from threats to it foreign and domestic. Just like you said when you took the oath of office.

State and county employees have not gottten a raise in Six years and COLA has been diminished while the cost of living is increasing and our salaries stay stagnant even at times decreasing and THE Senate Bill 2100 made things even worst which on 1/7/2013 , The Supreme court of Florida agreed with our arguments this bill was unfair and unjustifiable but do to the red tape of legalities we the Employees were shot down again. "THIS CANNOT CONTINUE TO BE INGONORED NOT BY US COUNTY AND STATE EMPLOYEES OF FLORIDA, ABIDING TAXPAYERS AND CITITZENS OF THIS GREAT NATION AND ESPECIALLY NOR BY OUR STATE AND AND FEDERAL BODIES OF GOVERNMENT"

  • GUNS
Dear Mr. President, I strongly believe in the REPEAL of the second amendment, this country can not handle gun ownership like other civilized countrys and I say to the sportsmen who hunt to take up fishing; It is alot harder to be a mass murderer with a fishing pole than it is with a gun.....Sincerly...Joe Modero

  • Give the WILD HARE their PPA
The Wild Hare (formerly housed in Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood) is not only a great source of entertainment for an untapped audience, but a staple and tourist attraction for the city. Many became familiar with the Reggae nightclub bar & lounge by way of the movie Love Jones; others, because of its incredible live shows, friendly staff and peaceful atmosphere. The Wild Hare was/is one of the only homes for live Reggae concerts. The Wild Hare is running out of time, and without live performances, running out of money. Many Chicago residents were devastated when this staple first closed its doors and so happy to see them back. Now... we might loose them again... indefinitely.

  • Appropriate Crew Rest Facilities
One of the Charlotte Airport Crew rooms (C) that had ample rest areas for flight crew is under construction. The other crew room that has now doubled in size (B) is less than half the size of (C), and has nowhere for us to rest other than a few upright uncomfortable chairs. Many flight crew have to commute to base as much as 12 hours before they begin their flying, and this includes pilots. Not having a proper rest area is unsafe for everyone, including our customers. We need an appropriate rest area!

  • To all USA newspapers
Daily newspapers need to keep us informed about deaths by guns and if by accident or by intention. There was a time when data were given on the frontpages about car accidents for the year. It is time now to do similar reporting by box summaries, perhaps presenting different kinds of relevant data on different days at least once a week. There will be no need to advocate any policy. The data will advocate for saner gun policy. Individual and mass killings need data reviews. There is no need to argue how journalists should do the reviews. Many tacts can be taken to keep us aware of gun deaths in our country. The press needs to update in this area.

  • VT Legislature: Ban Assault Weapons
There is no place, no need, no positive outcome for assault-type weapons to be within, or accessible to, the general public. We have witnessed the bloodshed and horror that can come from this access to assault-type weapons. There is no good that can come from their access or use.
