Demand Congress Strip Gun Manufacturers, Distributers of immunity for deaths and injuries resulting from semiautomatic weapons. Bush's law protects profit in the gun trade over victim's rights. Countless future deaths resulting from semiautomatic weapons are foreeable unless we act now.

Although right wing religious groups cry foul about religious freedom all of the time, they block true religious freedom. There are groups out there that don't have enough money to take on the big churches; Atheists, Independent Catholics, pagans and others. We demand True Religious Freedom, that is to allow all faith structures to have a voice.

Reporters should not have been allowed to interview those poor children in Newtown, CT. They were truly hounding them with questions. What we the people are suggesting is a way to protect children from over zealous reporters. No child should be allowed to have contact with a reporter with in 48 hours after such an event. This will allow time for reflection and recovery for the victims. We the people would like to state this petition isn't to limit the freedom of speech or the freedom of the press we hold so dearly. This petition is to protect its integrity, so as to not surrender our principles of right and wrong for personal gain.

On Thursday, December 6th, 2012, Community Board 12 held a public transportation committee meeting to address a petition asking the the benches be removed from Kensington Plaza. The committee, decided not to take immediate action, and that they would revisit the matter in April of 2013. However, not even two weeks later, at the CB 12 meeting on December, 18th, CB 12 voted to recommend the immediate removal of two of the benches. This decision by CB 12, is unfair and not in the interest of the broader Kensington Community.
