Save the National Christmas Tree 2013For as long as I can remember, there has been a National Tree Lighting during the holiday season in Washington DC. Year after year, I reserve hope that for once, the National Tree would actually look like a TREE and not some lit up mound with a star on top of it.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by M. Antonio Ignazio

Show Respect for Our PresidentPresident Obama has been the target of more disrespectful public acts than any president in recent history. Examples include the "birther" fabrication and the flaunting of racist signs at rallies. Sign a petition to congressional representatives and members of the media requesting that they behave respectfully toward the President and the office of the presidency. Rescind Oregon SB 1080SB 1080 prevents some 15,000 undocumented immigrant drivers on Oregon roads from being tested for knowledge of driving laws and for physical impairments to safe driving. Denied driver licenses, undocumented immigrants cannot purchase auto insurance, raising the risk of accidents and, therefore, the rates of auto insurance for licensed drivers.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joe Santana

De-Criminalize Hemp and MarijuanaHemp should be a cash crop for paper, cloth, livestock feed and bio-deisel, among other products. Regulation of marijuana should be decided at the State level. Decriminalizing both crops will spur economic growth, reduce crowding in jails, and save taxpayers billions in incarceration costs - a win-win-win situation nationwide. It's time to end the dissonance between federal and state laws.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Wozny

Save our Native Prairie GrasslandsThe Fish and Wildlife Service has opened a 90 day period for open comment from the public and the scientific community. Four public hearing will be held in February and this petition will be presented at that time..The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering putting the Lesser Prairie Chicken on the "threatened" list under the Endangered Species Act. The decline in this species signals that our native grasslands are in trouble. These grasslands support dozens of migratory birds, farmers, ranchers and local communities across the southwest region. We will be working alongside the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Land Management, and the Sutton Center to preserve our environment. For the people of these states, putting the lesser prairie chicken on the threatened list opens up the possibility of putting it being a stone in the road to impede the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline Upon learning of this consideration, lawmakers in major oil and gas districts yelled "Fowl." We cannot let these industries risk our environment. The Fish and Wildlife Service has opened a 90 day period for open comment from the public and the scientific community. Four public hearing will be held on: 1.
