Our country should be focusing on the many who are experiencing poverty, homelessness, hunger and devastation. Our elected officials speak often of caring for those who are most in need and this is a time in our lives to make a difference. The resources spent on the one day of the Presidential Inauguration should be used in ways to help those in dire need. Former adminstrations that have taken this action were Presidents Wilson and Harding; President Carter also streamlined the events. By cancelling these extravagant parties, and chanelling the resources to those in need would be a life-changing experience and this action would speak volumes to our children. This is a petition to call on Washington, D.C. to make a difference in the lives of many of our fellow citizens and cancel these parties.

While we recognize that Texas is a great state, characterized by its independent citizens, there are many citizens that do not support secession from the United States. A petition has been filed with the White House for Texas secession that has reached the 25,000 signature goal it needed to be looked at by the White House. Although it is extremely doubtful that Texas would be granted the approval to secede by such a petition, we would still like to recognize that there are many people in Texas that feel differently, whether we agree with the current administration or not. Rick Perry as the President of the Republic of Texas does not sound good to many of us. As a follow up to the "Dump the Trump" at Macy's petition, equally we should implore NBC Universal to not renew Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice show slated for March 2013 for the same reasons. Mr.Trump has proven to be a public embarrassment and help to spur incendiary and antagonistic rhetoric about our country's election process and also about the President of the United States. Although in the court of public opinion everyone has the right to free speech, and we as viewers have the right to choose what we shall or shall not watch on our televisions, there is some responsibility on the part of the company or corporation(in the case NBC Universal) to monitor and address issues that run counter to their network policies and affect viewers and shareholders adversely. Therefore, we should call on CEO & President Steve Burke of NBC Universal to cancel the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice and tell Donald Trump "Your Fired!" Florida Sunpass system is a very unfair toll system. The bill your tag and if you don't get the notice in time you receive a uniform traffic citation and your drivers license get suspended. Also the traffic citation is considered a moving violation. This is also very unfair because a lot of citizens lost their jobs as toll collectors.
