• Save Social Security: Apply A Fair Tax Allocation
My Petition is about the false choice of cutting Social Security and Medicare when so much income is not subject to Social Security Taxes. When everyone pays, their fair share, there will be no need to cut the Social Security and Medicare benefits of those who have paid into them all their lives.

  • STOP THE WHIPPOORWILL RD. EXTENSION
The residents of Marbella Lakes and surrounding communities are opposed to the Whippoorwill Road extension. Although we were advised that this plan was designed to help the local area, we feel it will do much harm. We believe this road will create dangerous traffic situations, environmental issues with the additional polluted runoff from the road into our lakes, potential of increased risk of vandalism, create noise and environmental pollution, and jeopardize the safety of our children.

  • Grandparent Rights
Child Protective Services do not keep families unified and the Government does not let Grandparents have any rights even if years of bonding with the child or children has been established.

  • Start cutting funds from the TOP!!!
A co-worker of mine was telling me about her friend that takes care of her aunt and uncle who are both in their 70s. They both have dementia and need round-the-clock care. It became too much for the caretaker to take care of them both and so the uncle went into a nursing home. Just last week, the caretaker was told that her uncle would be losing all medicaid and would have to leave the nursing home. It took him 6 minutes and 45 seconds to get one shoe off his foot - and it was a slip on shoe. And that, my friends, made him lose his medicaid. Enough of this insanity. I think this country has really reached an all time low! It's got to stop. Please help me have our voices heard and perhaps "wake-up" the hearts of the politicians, rich and powerful people who seem to only care about themselves!

  • Help Our Veterans Get Their Benefits
We have heard story after story of US Veterans not getting the benefits they were promised. President Lincoln started the VA to provide care for our soldiers, and the current Veterans Admininstration is failing to meet that promise - and it's gotten worse not better. When a company fails to provide the service it promises, it's a sign of bad management. I'm urging the President to fire the top administrators of the VA and get in new people who can do the job. There are plenty of national companies that serve their clients - the VA must do a better job and the only way I can see that happening is to fire the people at the top and bring in people who will make the system work the way it's supposed to!

  • No cuts to Medicare or Social Security
I am a receiving social security now and it still is not enough to support a modest lifestyle. Medicare part B is still too expensive, so I must continue to work and use employer based health insurance. I have a heart condition and do not know how long I can continue to work.

  • Save Our Post Office Oregon
Our goal is to save the U.S. Postal Service from drastic cuts in service. We want the postal service to cease closing mail processing plants. We want the postal service to continue 6 day delivery and we want the postal service to stop closing post offices and cutting retail operating hours. Our goal is to see the dramatic pre payments into retirement accounts to stop and be returned to the postal service. We are proud of our postal network in Oregon and want to keep it the way it is.
