The President elect, Mr. Donald J. Trump should NOT be sworn in as the 45th President of these United States of America. There are just too many problems that need to be solved before he takes office. 1) Did he, or any of his campaign staff, collude with Russia to subvert our recent election for POTUS? Is there material that Russia has to compromise Mr. Trump and can be used to blackmail him? 2) What is in Donald Trump's tax returns of the past 10 years (at least)? He refuses to show them. The "audit" he claims he is under should have no effect on his revealing them. 3) Can Mr. Trump be more diplomatic and less abrasive in using Twitter? So far he has shamed this country by his ill-advised antithetical use of "tweets." 4) Will he be able to work with our intelligence agencies? He has already done too much to delegitimize the very people we need to protect this country. Is this part of the plan to undermine this country and give more power to Vladimir Putin? 5) Will Donald Trump every divest himself from business ties so that he will not be influenced by them in opposition to what is best for America's interests? 6) Furthermore, will he comply with the emolument clauses of the Constitution, or be subject to break our laws on day one? To be fair he cannot do this in the 48 hours he has before his inaugural ceremonies. 7) Last but not least will he really change his behavior to help unite America or simply play to a voter base that is NOT IN THE MAJORITY. In the two months between Trumps winning the Electoral College votes and swearing-in, he has managed to lose support of too many Americans. He is being called "morally illegitimate" now. We need to be ever so sure that we are not turning this country over to a traitor that only sought the Presidency to feather his cap, get out of legal qualms and seek vengeance upon the current President. We need to know that he is NOT a puppet of Putin or any other foreign entity. It is our tradition to assume innocents until proven guilty, but where the Presidency of the United States is concerned, it is better to answer these concerns about Donald Trump instead of taking a leap of faith. We cannot afford to be wrong

It is crucial for the young people of America to make their voices heard, and to call on the President and his cabinet to promote and champion diversity, pluralism, and cooperation. We must be united in denouncing all forms of hateful speech and actions that lead to polarization and the marginalization of communities. Only through engagement and reconciliation can we mitigate issues of local, national, and international concern.

Donald Trump being inaugurated as President is a direct victory for Vladimir Putin and his hostile actions to undermine our government, and we as a nation must raise a the alarm to put a stop to it immediately. At best the Electoral College results were compromised directly by the hostile actions of the Russian government. At worst, it was quite possibly executed with the knowledge & assistance of Donald Trump and/or members of his campaign staff either through complicity or compromising data in the possession of Russia. We have all heard and read Mr. Trump's public calls openly inviting the Russian Government to continue their hostile acts of aggression and now we know those systematic attacks continued with Mr. Trump's permission. His presidency must be invalidated immediately and retroactively and the election ruled in favor of the winner of the popular vote.

Since 2005, the oil and gas industry has fracked over 137,000 wells, used over 6 billion pounds of chemicals and produced billions of gallons of fracking wastewater. At least 157 of the chemicals used in fracking fluid are toxic to humans and aquatic life. Fracking produces billions of gallons of fracking fluid waste each year. And time and again, toxic spills have contaminated our water and endangered our health. Yet the fracking industry remains exempt from EPA regulation and the laws that ensure the safety of our drinking water. The Senate must close the fracking loopholes in the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Invoking the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, which grants the president power to protect the places where drilling is most dangerous. President Obama declared a ban on all future oil and gas drilling for 115 million acres of the Arctic and 31 Atlantic canyons just last month. Reversing the drilling ban would be dangerously irresponsible for this pristine wilderness and our planet. Yet Sen. Dan Sullivan and Rep. Don Young (both of Alaska) are considering legislation to authorize President-elect Trump to overturn the bans once he takes office.
