Although it takes two to create a child, our system has been broken for far too long. Men have been discriminated against, defamed, and falsely accused of abuse to gain sympathy by the mother. We need to change this and implement this necessary parenting plan before more children suffer the loss of deprived relationships with their fathers.

I am appalled at the way Trump is conducting himself with the press, with the intelligence agencies, with Putin, and with the American people. This man is out of control, out of touch, and should be out of the White House. In all my years of being a citizen of this country, I have never seen anything as politically damning, racist, and "war-like" as what he is doing now...AND...he is not even the President yet. I feel we have a chance to turn the country around if we can stop his inauguration and start over.

In his first news conference since July, President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will turn his business over to his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, who double as some of Trump’s closest political advisors.[1] Walter Shaub, the Director of the Office of Government Ethics, called the move “meaningless.” He added, “We can’t risk the perception that government leaders would use their official positions for professional profit.” [2] A quick look at Trump and his billionaire Cabinet picks confirms that we’re headed in that direction. All signs suggest that Trump is ready to hijack our government to enrich himself, his Cabinet, and other members of the financial elite. I believe that our government should work to improve the lives of everyday people, not serve as a tool for the rich and powerful. Trump promised the citizens of America that he would release his tax returns once elected. Now an elected Trump claims that the public doesn't want to know. Well, I do and want to see who else does, please sign this petition and hopefully will get what the public was promised.

For more than a year, Governor Haslam has been pushing a plan that he devised -- without the input of Tennesseans or the oversight of the legislature -- to outsource the facilities management of public universities, state parks, prisons, and more. If implemented, this plan would dramatically change the way that UT and other universities across the state are run and impact the lives of thousands of state employees. Tennessee has a concerning history with outsourcing. Deals with Jones Lang LaSalle, Enterprise, and other corporations have been steeped in controversy and have cost taxpayers millions of dollars under Gov. Haslam. And when custodial services at Tennessee Technological University were privatized, many campus workers were fired and those who kept their jobs saw their pay and benefits slashed. In the end, outsourcing at TTU didn’t lead to substantial cost savings -- and what they did save came directly at the expense of campus workers. And we already know what outsourcing looks like at UTK. Our custodial services were outsourced until 2012, when administrators made the intentional decision to bring those services back in-house. Dave Irvin, Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Services, said at the time that in-house services would lead to “increased service, better cleaning and more responsiveness to the needs of the university” and “better wages, benefits and continuing education opportunities” for employees. It took us two years to transition out of this outsourcing on our campus. Why would we return to something proven to be the wrong choice for UTK now, just two years later? If our facilities management is outsourced again, several vital campus programs and services could eliminated, including: - Sustainability and recycling programs (including the public recycling drop-off) - The turf management team for Neyland - Master planning, which ensures we construct a cohesive campus environment - The STAR group (Special Team to Assist Research), which helps recruit researchers to UT and support them while they’re here - Priority HVAC upkeep for student housing, classrooms, and research facilities - A 65 percent overall cut of the current supplies and operations budget for facilities services Governor Haslam has claimed that individual schools, including UTK, will have the opportunity to opt out of this outsourcing plan next semester. With this petition, we appeal directly to UT President Joe DiPietro, incoming UTK Chancellor Beverly Davenport, and the UT Board of Trustees to listen to what students, campus workers, and community members are saying. Over the last year and a half thousands have protested, spoken out, written columns and passed SGA resolutions in opposition to this plan. Taking away health care for millions of Americans has been the focus of Representative Price's career. Voting for him would be a vote for privatizing Medicare, gutting Medicaid, and repealing the ACA. Rep. Price's legislation, the Empowering Patients First Act gives tax breaks to the wealthy and repeatedly punishes the sick by repealing Medicaid expansion, allowing discrimination against pre-exisiting conditions, and increasing rates for the elderly. Rep. Price has questionable judgement. He is a member of the extreme Association of American Physicians and Surgeons which claims that HIV does not cause AIDS and there is a link between abortion and breast cancer. He also has ethics scandals around trading stocks with companies that he is legislating at the time. Rep. Price has a plan to dismantle our health care system. Senators - look at his record and reject Rep. Price for HHS secretary as too extreme for America.

Stop Action on the ACA! Voters are about to be harmed and put in peril from not thinking this out. All the people voting on this have full healthcare either way, so why not plan it out better so that disabled, elderly, and vets are not harmed even more? Devise a plan that protects the marginalized first, then dismantle the ACA if you must, but to just drop all 28 million people from it will cause undo hardship upon too many Americans. All people in office took an oath to protect the people of this nation; to just cut the ACA with no other plan available is not protecting the people.

On December 23, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2334 concerning Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The resolution states that the settlement project violates international law and demands that the Israeli government stop expanding the settlement project. The resolution passed 14-0, with the U.S. abstaining at the direction of President Obama, thereby allowing the resolution to pass. [1] Unfortunately, some Democratic senators are attacking President Obama and the UN Security Council for re-affirming the longstanding opposition of the U.S. and the international community to the Israeli settlement project in the West Bank. These senators are co-sponsoring S. Res 6, which attacks UNSC 2334. According to The Hill, some of these Democratic Senators may run for President in 2020. [2] Of nine Democratic Senators identified by The Hill as possible presidential candidates, seven are co-sponsors of the pro-settlements S. Res 6 and two are not. My children were taken away June 24, 2015. I have been abused by the system since I was not on drugs of any kind and I was not found guilty of any wrongdoing by CPS. All I did do was get my children away from an abusive home in which their father was on prescription pain pills, but this has gone on for too long. My oldest was 12, now she is 14; my youngest was 1, now she is 3. Please help me to at least be a part of their lives; they have never come to my home. I have gotten my life together; since their father and I were together for 14 years, it was hard to start over. Now I have a mortgage and a small farm that is growing. I'm so proud of myself for all I have done and everything has been for my two princesses!!!!!!

I am insulted by Trump's arrogant refusal to follow precedent; and the more he refuses to release his returns, the more I suspect he has something to hide. Other than feeding his own sense of power, what does he gain by not releasing? I think every one of his bluffs should be called, this one more than most.
