There is constant occurrences of Kim Cooper threatening our children. On January 29, 2016 my son was at Kim's neighbor's house to play with his friends just as he has since before Kim moved in. Kim tried to swing a belt at him and proceeded to approach him tell him to "get his bad a** out of the yard" or she was going to "whoop his a** and don't come the f**k back over to play", although he was not in her portion of her front yard. I approached her residence to calmly talk to her to figure out the issue and try to compromise or meet a solution. However, she started to raise her voice, insult me, threatened to have her daughters jump me and her grand daughters jump my daughter and she promised if my son came to play with his friend she would find an opportunity to take to physically hit him with her belt. My son is scared. That day he came in crying and shaking because he thought she was going to catch him and beat him with the belt. I asked my housing office for help and no solution, police told me to go to the magistrate and his answer was maybe I should just not let him play with his friend anymore. It is unfair that my child has to be scared when he is outside because she seems to have a low tolerance for children, even her grand daughters. She yells at them constantly and doesn't want them in the house until it is dark. These grand daughters, who I estimate to be about 7 and 11, have jumped on a 3 year old residence. They follow my daughter everyday telling her they are going to beat her up and the 11 year old has ran my 6 year old daughter over with her bike about two weeks ago. The grandma also attacked a 17 year old hitting him with blunt object to his head causing him to bleed out and go to the E.R. My kids are scared all our kids in Harold Goodman circle are terrified and bullied by Kim Cooper, her daughters and her grand daughters. We are asking for help, the answer for us should not be to confine our children inside our home because we have a resident who lacks basic respect of human beings in general. The police have been called out on numerous occasions because of this residence. We just want the peace for our kids restored. Genetically engineered (GE) foods have been brought to market without any long term safety studies. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not require or conduct safety studies on GE foods, instead relying on voluntary safety consultations and minimal research done by the companies who create GE foods. Labeling GE foods is necessary to allow consumers to make informed decisions about the food they buy and consume, as well as for tracking any potential adverse effects or allergies.

On January 29, 2016 Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard urged Hawaii State Governor David Ige to declare a state of emergency to combat the current outbreak of dengue fever on Hawaii Island. This declaration, if acted up on by our governor, will release the full force of federal funding necessary to combat the growing threat of dengue and other mosquito-borne viruses. This is about the big picture, especially as zika makes the headlines internationally and is now a looming threat to the state of Hawaii. As long as the presence of the aedes mosquito populations are allowed to be prevalent, this threat will always be hanging over our heads. We have the opportunity to be a model for the world’s communities, to show how to develop and fight the spread of these highly infectious diseases now and in the future for both our Hawaii residents and visitors. A state of emergency will give residents and visitors a sense of relief that something significant is being done in the long term to ensure that our Island is a safe place to live and visit. I am calling for a national month of no payments to Navient/Sallie Mae in the month of March 2016. I am calling for a march on Washington DC and in every major city of the United States to stop Navient/Sallie Mae from collecting another dime from students who have been paying this debt for years and cannot get out from under it until they retire or die, whichever comes first. I am calling on the Justice Department to further investigate Navient/Sallie Mae for abusive interest rates, and ruining the lives of previous students who cannot fulfill their aspirations in this Country. I am calling on the Justice Department to hold Navient/Sallie Mae liable for criminal intent to overcharge our young people who are students and previous students who will never get out of the debt. I am calling on the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau to alleviate the debt of students so that they can move on with their lives after sometimes paying 2, 3, and 4 times the amount of the original debt. As a former student and Parent and Community Outreach Liaison for the Madison Metropolitan School District, I have been involved in this school district for over 15 years in some capacity. There exists an atmosphere in the Madison Metropolitan School District that is about maintaining the administration at the expense of student growth through education. The lack of progression combined with the overcommitment to maintaining the administration, which has not upheld educational standards, is atrocious. The graduation rate for black and brown students is at 50%, and yet the administration has been allowed to continue on contract for over 10 years. I saw students physically assaulted by a security guard and other student incidents that were disregarded. It is clear that MMSD only cares about maintaining the current administration and status quo versus upholding their agreement to be responsible for student learning and growth.

The Republicans have redrawn, gerrymandered, our districts so they overwhelmingly support Republicans. They gerrymandered my district so much the our solid Democratic congresswoman lost. The districts shouldn't favor one party or the other.

The local government in Santa Cruz County has been persistently trying to take my property out of my control. They are currently suing me under the wrong zoning and have been making it nearly impossible for me to generate any income from my land.
