Hold Landlords Accountable For Tenant Harassment, Today.Homeless is due to shady practices from money hungry and powerful landlords. If we hold them accountable... the city wouldn’t have this catastrophic problem. Not all tenants have issues paying rent but landlords took their large down payments and started harassing them to immediately move out just to collect someone else large deposit.66 of 100 SignaturesCreated by M Shannon

Corporations: renounce your PAC donations to extremist Senator Ron JohnsonOur senator, Ron Johnson, is one of the most fringe extremists in the U.S. Senate. He's an embarrassment to the state of Wisconsin and to any donors that supports him—including some of the largest companies in the United States. Johnson couldn't have won two senate elections it without big-money donations. He secured hundreds of millions in tax breaks for his two biggest billionaire donors. And major corporations' Political Action Committees (PACs) are part of the action, too. These include the PACs of Fortune 500 companies and major corporations, such as: Google, Amazon, BP, UPS, AT&T, GM, Mass Mutual, American Express, Lockheed Martin, CitiGroup, and more. Now he's raking in contributions for his third race. But the corporate PACs who have supported Johnson in the past now have no excuse. They know he's a climate denier. They know he rejects basic science on the pandemic. They know he vowed to object to the election outcomes, which helped fuel militant expectations that they could overthrow the election on January 6. They cannot support Johnson with one hand and support responsible positions with the other. Johnson is more interested in spreading lies and conspiracy theories than in governing for the American people. He is one of the richest members of Congress who has consistently turned his back on his constituents when they needed him most, while looking out only for himself, special interests, and his bank account. Enough is enough.717 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Linda K.

Mask Up Palm Beach County School KidsThis is so key to keeping our children safe in the schools this coming year and in the future due to the fact that the delta variant is raging the country at a rapid rate and masks keep us safe. As a parent of two wonderful children, I want to keep them safe and I would do anything, and many other parents would do the same. Keeping our kids safe is so key because they are the future of this very world. Please contact your friends and family that live in Palm Beach County and encourage them to support our petition. Also, while we were doing our petition, we saw that a school in Atlanta that was only one week into school had 100 kids in isolation, and 9 COVID-19 cases, with 8th & 6th grade classes going virtual for the time being, this is why masks are needed due to the fact that children are in school for 6-8 hours per day. It would be very negligent to not have masks in schools because children are there for a very long time and they would make the spread of COVID-19 easier. It is only going to get worse, last year schools only had about 50% of their students in-person, now with 100%, it will only make a potential outbreak worse, our children depend on us and the schools to keep them safe and we cannot let them down.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert D'Antoni

Sign Now: Congress must implement oversight of PegasusPegasus, a spyware created by Israeli company NSO, surveilled over *50,000* individuals — including private citizens — through their phones: tracking their messages, monitoring their locations, and even remotely activating their microphones to listen in on their conversations. This kind of mass surveillance is a threat to each and every one of us. That’s why we’re calling on Congress to protect our privacy and implement oversight of Pegasus spyware. Will you add your name to join us in calling for an end to unchecked surveillance?63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Win Without War

Don’t let Trump exploit this dangerous Facebook loopholeIf Facebook determined that Donald Trump's spread of conspiracy theories was so harmful that his Facebook and Instagram accounts were suspended for two years -- why can he keep using the PACs he controls to share content on these platforms? That’s right -- Trump may not be able to post on Facebook using his account, but he has found a massive loophole to exploit: using political committees under his control to post content. And unless we speak out, Facebook may continue to let him get away with it. Here’s what’s going on: Trump’s political action committee -- the Save America PAC -- has been running ads inviting Facebook users to attend Trump rallies, donate to Trump’s political efforts, and more. Facebook is trying to claim that this doesn’t violate Trump’s suspension, so long as the ads are not being posted in Trump’s “voice.” But Facebook’s policy is extremely vague and not rooted in any campaign finance law -- and Trump is taking advantage. In reality, all communications disseminated by this PAC, which Trump established and controls, are unquestionably in his voice. Allowing Trump to exploit this loophole only signals to other violators of Facebook’s policies that they too can evade enforcement actions by using a different page run by a political committee or political entity under their control. If Facebook really wants to combat voter suppression and stop online hate, it must close this dangerous gap in its policies. That means subjecting any Facebook pages run by a political committee that’s established, financed, maintained, or controlled by an individual to the same content moderation decisions as that individual’s Facebook account. Replace the Alex Afrasiabi NPC in Stormwind with one dedicated to Jarod Nandin. There is no guarantee that the WoW development team will see or be influenced by this petition, but should this get enough support, it very well could influence the change we all want to see. Those who knew Jarod well, including many within the Blizzard development community, have been seeking a way to include a proper and permanent tribute to Jarod in-game. This is quite possibly the best and most fitting solution to that desire. Let our collective voices guide their actions!739 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Zach Fischer

Our Students and Teachers Need Smaller Class SizesWith smaller class sizes, our teachers will be able to focus more of their attention on the specific needs of their students. With many children just returning to in-person instruction, this will already be a more difficult adjustment than most years. Teachers will need to be able to assess and address the needs of each student so they can get everyone on the same page to move forward, much like kindergarten. Large class sizes are also a safety concern. Our classrooms are large enough to fit about 23 students when spaced 6 feet apart. Our children need to be properly spaced for COVID safety.52 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nicole Solaya

GM PAC: Keep your word, stop funding insurrection. After the shocking violence of January 6, General Motors' PAC pledged to pause all political donations and reevaluate its relationship to the lawmakers who fueled the insurrection. But watchdogs have found that they have broken that promise and have donated to nearly a dozen lawmakers who voted to overturn the election. The 147 members of Congress who voted to reject the election results helped fuel the insurrection, advanced conspiracy theories, and attacked our democracy. These members of Congress should renounce their votes against certifying the election and commit to respecting the 2020 election, future elections, and our democratic system, and GM and other corporations and industry groups should demand that they do so. We've already seen some companies who had let their commitments to democracy slip make things right. Toyota, who made a similar commitment in January, was also singled out as a top contributor to insurrectionist lawmakers based on CREW’s research -- and they changed their policy to prevent it from happening again. GM needs to follow their lead, as well as the dozens of companies who haven’t kept their commitments. GM: You did the right thing in January to distance yourself from the lawmakers who threatened our democracy. You must keep your word and refuse to backtrack on this commitment.19,497 of 20,000 SignaturesCreated by David Sievers
