Impeach Governor Mary FallinTo whom it may concern: We, the people of Oklahoma, are requesting that Governor Mary Fallin face Impeachment on the many levels and facets that Mary Fallin has failed Oklahoma. Mary Fallin has broken her Oath, which she swore to uphold when she took office again in 2014. She has exhibited corruption while in office, and willful neglect of duty and incompetence while acting as a leader for all of Oklahoma. A Resolution calling for impeachment of Governor Mary Fallin to SECTION VIII-1 of the Oklahoma Constitution states the following: The Governor and other elective state officers, including the Justices of the Supreme Court, shall be liable and subject to impeachment for wilful neglect of duty, corruption in office, habitual drunkenness, incompetency or any offense involving moral turpitude committed while in office. We bring you the following reasons to consider: A. Oklahoma ranks 48th in education out of 50 states. B. Mary Fallin cut taxes for Oil & Gas industries shortly after receiving some of the highest political campaign contributions from those same industries for her 2014 campaign win. Mary Fallin cut their taxes from 7% to 2%, while knowing OPEC productions were continuing to hurt the price of Oil per Barrel across the country, ultimately causing a good portion of the $611 million budget deficit. C. Up through the 3rd quarter of 2013, Mary Fallin received $38,250 from private prison corporations via political donations. Her biggest push was for private prisons to be introduced in Oklahoma from 2012 to 2013. D. Mary Fallin promoted and supported failing State Superintendent Janet Barresi, who wasted millions upon millions of dollars for Education here in Oklahoma on Common Core, standardized testing and wasteful spending at all levels of education. Then, only moments before her election and after thousands marched on the Capitol lawn, Mary Fallin changed her mind and signed a bill to stop Common Core in Oklahoma. E. Mary Fallin continues to undermine Teachers and Educators by not offering pay raises and by not offering respect, ultimately causing OKC schools alone to hand out over a thousand emergency hiring certificates to under-qualified teachers. Teachers were either leaving the state for more respect or for better pay at different places of work, ultimately making our educational rankings worse by having poorly trained and under-qualified teachers, leading to even lower rankings in Public Education. F. We are potentially facing a $1 billion budget deficit and total depletion of the rainy day funds. G. She removed $50 million from the seized property funds that may have belonged to individuals who were never convicted of a crime or felony in order to help balance the state budget in 2015. H. Mary Fallin accepted gifts from private donors and took a second luxurious European trip, and wouldn’t disclose how much her security detail and other expenses cost the state of Oklahoma. I. During the eleven days the state was flooded, there was zero response from her second in command, Todd Lamb, and zero response for disaster assistance or relief from Mary Fallin because she was more concerned about her European trip. The state went eleven days with no answers and no solutions, while people's homes, businesses, land, and lives were lost or destroyed. J. Mary Fallin is consistently putting big money and those who further her political career over the needs of people and Oklahoma. K. Mary Fallin invested almost 50% less in mental health than the rest of the nation, causing some of the highest prison populations in the nation, as well some of the highest crimes and violent offenders anywhere in the United States. L. From 2008 to 2013, Mary Fallin claimed to invest more in per pupil funding, which went from $8400 per student to $7672.00; that is less 7.6%. There may be slight increases in educational funding, yet our teachers are still understaffed, overworked and some of the lowest paid in the Nation, in some cases 20 to 30% lower. M. Mary Fallin defied an order from the Oklahoma state supreme court to remove The Ten Commandments. Mary Fallin directed Scott Pruitt to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight for her religious beliefs. Mary Fallin first said it was for historical purposes, then 2 months later got on National TV and said it was for religious purposes. The Oklahoma Constitution voted on and by the people of Oklahoma says the monument cannot stay. Mary Fallin should be held in contempt of court for using her religious beliefs to defy the law. N. Mary Fallin broke her OATH that Mary Fallin swore to uphold by defying the highest court in the land, and then tries to rewrite the entire State Constitution to meet her needs. O. Instead of diverting lottery money to K-12, Mary Fallin wasted most of those dollars in higher education, all due to failed leadership and poor development planning. P. Oklahoma has some the highest incarceration rates of nonviolent offenders in the nation, yet Mary Fallin came up with a program to speed up the release of violent criminals such as rapists, murderers and those who committed other heinous crimes against the people of Oklahoma, before releasing someone for smoking Marijuana. This bill and the law was quickly and quietly put through in 2015 with little knowledge given to the public. Q. Mary Fallin supported the Republican League of Women, who on a number of occasions promoted bigoted and racist comments, as well as supported the OK GOP political party that compared those on welfare to Animals. It wasn’t until it received national attention that Mary Fallin even took action. R. Mary Fallin wasted taxpayer dollars by letting her daughter keep a trailer on state property and paid to have utilities to her trailer run and hooked up to city lines for electric, television, water and gas lines for over four months. S. Mary Fallin continues to put prison funding levels at a higher rate of pay then educ...9,900 of 10,000 SignaturesCreated by Jeffrey Williams

Cover Bernie or Lose ViewersEnough is Enough! MSNBC has been downplaying, marginalizing, and downright ignoring Bernie for too long. Now Chris Matthews is falsely making the race out to be between Biden and Hillary, and Biden has not even announced! Not only that, but he's even implying- with staged polls that obviously do not reflect what the real polls say--that Biden will easily beat Bernie! The media can keep putting their spin on things. While they do that, we will not only get Bernie into office, we'll stop watching MSNBC completely! They will notice their viewing stats drop. Then maybe they will see reason.120 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Charles I Niswander II

Marriott: Pay the laborers who built your hotel in Durham, North CarolinaWe are a group of simple, hard-working immigrant laborers. We built a new Marriott hotel in downtown Durham. It is a beautiful building. We were hired to paint, put up vinyl wall covering, install metal frames and hang sheetrock. We did our jobs. The new Marriott Residence Inn was built on the backs of immigrant laborers who have not been paid what they were promised. We have been cheated out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. We have been protesting for three months. We have been threatened with lawsuits if we do not stop. The manager of the hotel has threatened to arrest me. This is not right. We expect to be paid for our work, not threatened with arrests and lawsuits. We have families and young children who depend on us. We have bills to pay.3,560 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Isaac Perez

President Obama, Create these Dark Sky National Monuments! We have a critically rare chance to make a profoundly positive impact in protecting our dark night skies of the California Desert! The Sand to Snow, Mojave Trails, and Castle Mountain National Monuments will bring these crucial protections, and create buffers standing against light pollution encroaching on existing protected desert lands. These are the lands you visit to see meteor showers and stellar views of our Cosmos. To experience something we've lost in the ever expanding intrusion of urban sprawl!244 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Tom O'Key

.@SenatorCantwell: Stand with Senate Democrats to back #IranDealForty-one Senate Democrats have pledged to support the agreement with Iran. [1] Only four – Schumer, Menendez, Cardin, and Manchin – are opposing the agreement. Washington Senator Maria Cantwell is the only Democratic Senator who has not yet stated a position. Every other West Coast Democratic Senator – Washington Senator Patty Murray, Oregon Senators Jeff Merkley and Ron Wyden, California Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer – is backing the agreement. [2] Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid has asked Majority Leader McConnell to agree to a 60-vote threshold for a yes vote, consistent with McConnell’s past statements that “major legislation” requires 60 votes in the Senate. [3] (If that hadn’t been the Republican position in the past, labor law reform to make it easier for workers to join unions would have been the law of the land for the past five years.) If 40 Senate Democrats stand with Leader Reid in insisting on a 60-vote threshold for a Republican resolution attacking the agreement, no Republican resolution attacking the agreement will get to the President’s desk. This will be an important precedent for protecting the agreement from Republican attacks in the future. Urge Senator Cantwell to stand with her Democratic colleagues behind Leader Reid in support of the Iran agreement by signing our petition. Tell CA Elected Representatives That We Need to Act on Climate ChangeRight now, the California State Legislature is considering a bill that would create cleaner air for our children, more economic opportunities for our neighborhoods, and a healthier climate for our planet. Oil companies and other industries that want to stop progress are fighting tooth and nail to defeat this bill. If we want our community to be heard over the oil companies, we have to take action now. You have a powerful voice in preparing for and helping to prevent further climate change. Sign this petition to tell your representatives to support SB 350, the Golden State Standards.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by APEN - Asian Pacific Environmental Network

.@ChrisCoons: Stand with Senate Democrats to back #IranDeal!Forty-one Senate Democrats have pledged to support the agreement with Iran, including Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware. [1] Only four – Schumer, Menendez, Cardin, and Manchin – are opposing the agreement. Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid has asked Majority Leader McConnell to agree to a 60-vote threshold for a yes vote, consistent with McConnell’s past statements that “major legislation” requires 60 votes in the Senate. This will be an important precedent for protecting the agreement from Republican attacks in the future. Senator Coons has been unclear on whether he will support Leader Reid in insisting on a 60-vote threshold for a Republican resolution attacking the agreement, consistent with past Senate practice. Urge Senator Coons to stand with his Democratic colleagues behind Leader Reid in support of the Iran agreement by signing our petition. End the FOIA Exemption for the Michigan Legislature and Governor's OfficeThe Michigan Legislature and the Governor's Office are currently exempt from Freedom of Information Act requests, shielding their activities from public scrutiny and accountability. The Courser-Gamrat Scandal is only the latest example of legislators abusing the exemption. Public records should be publicly accessible - no exceptions.1,180 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Lonnie Scott

Affordable EpiPens for patients at risk for severe allergic reactionsI am a nurse who works in an allergy clinic. We see thousands of patients in our clinic who are diagnosed with allergies: Food allergies, environmental allergies, medication allergies. We also have patients who are allergic to certain preservatives. These life threatening allergies require the patients to carry epinephrine injectors on them at all times. But, I have seen and personally talked to patients who just can't afford the $300-400 injectors. Making these more affordable for patients, both with and without insurance across the board, would help save lives. This should be a top priority, as people can die from their life-threatening allergies if they just can't afford the life saving medication.569 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Gigi Thomas

Equal Access to a Driver's License for all Pennsylvania ResidentsIt seems that the enemies of the liberties and rights protected in the United States have forgotten the history of the city of Philadelphia and of this great state of Pennsylvania. Ignoring this historical legacy, in 2009 the state of Pennsylvania cancelled the Driver's Licenses of thousands of people, of every race, that had been obtained legally. These cancellations have impacted negatively the economy of our state and our public and national security. It is the rights and well-being of the people that we are ultimately concerned with. Driving does not just mean access to an automobile, but also the right to move freely, go to our jobs and thus bring food to the table for our families, the right to lead a dignified life. The roads and highways are safer when everyone behind the wheel has a license, insurance and identification. We request a Public Hearing in Harrisburg to The Transportation Committee of The House of Representatives, to make the Proposal HB 1450 become a Law that will recover the right to a driver's license for every person who has been denied one as part of a cruel political game.287 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Denisse Agurto
