Missouri State Supreme Court: Disbar Assistant District Attorney Kathi AlizadehAssistant District Attorney Kathi Alizadeh presented the Grand Jury in the Darren Wilson case with an outdated, unconstitutional statute which stated that police officers could legally shoot and kill a suspect for attempting to evade arrest. Toward the end of the deliberations, the ADA instructed jurors to figure out what the law means, and whether the US Supreme Court can overrule state statutes. The Supreme Court of Missouri should hold hearings to determine whether the entire prosecuting team is guilty of gross prosecutorial misconduct in the handling of grand jury deliberations in the shooting death of Michael Brown.110 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Joseph Voss

Stop the tuition hikes!California has a proud history of state-funded public education. It's all about access -- affordable public education has allowed men and women from low-income and working class backgrounds to secure a quality education. Affordable public education is not only a right but an opportunity for greater social change. Raising tuition rates 5% each year puts unfair strain on students from lower socio-economic backgrounds. These hikes will transform our public university system from a public good for everyone into a privilege for only those who can afford it. Our students deserve better than to shoulder the burden of poor public policy and state divestment from higher education. Our state schools need state support, not tuition hikes. Join me in demanding an ending to the 5% tuition hikes every year for the University of California system.57 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emily Myer

Responsible Waterfront DevelopmentSturgeon Bay is a small town, with loads of small town charm. What makes our community so special is a blend of historic buildings, a working waterfront and an array of creative, small businesses. Walk into most shops downtown and you'll find the owner behind the counter. We welcome smart growth and responsible development- anything else simply doesn't fit.774 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Charolette

MAIN STREET, U.S.A, FIGHTS THE SUDDEN, REASON-LESS AND EXPLOITATIVE 'SOARING COST OF GENERIC DRUG...Aging seniors in the U.S.A. and all their caretakers -- which often includes their own children -- are in severe danger of losing the ability to pay for medications prescribed them by their physicians, as the cost of generic drugs inexplicably soars in the United States.129 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Linda Rosch

Pit bull ban in Johnson countyThe bull terrier was once named America's nanny in the 50's and 60's. The idea that a certain breed can be blamed for the actions of its owners is an idea I see as inhumane and barbaric. The amount of pit bulls being put down in the Kansas, KCMO area is sky rocketing because these loving animals aren't raised in the homes of good families due to stereotypes and the law. Similar to the cycle of poverty the bull terrier is stuck in a cycle. When you make a breed illegal, you have destined them to end up in impoverished and more aggressive homes. If you remove the ban on the breed, you will see the number of pit bulls in shelters and euthanizations drop dramatically. The terrier will be able to thrive again much like they did in the 50's and 60's because the environment they are placed supports their best behavior. I have worked with pit bulls and own two myself. Everywhere we go people who aren't familiar with the breed seem to be shocked. To me, it's ridiculous how people can't see that humans have trained certain pit bulls to be dangerous, and encouraged bad behavior by not allowing it to be in the hands of good people. How unfair is that?271 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Carly tanenbaum

release our paychecksI have not received my paycheck from this company. It has been over a month now and they are still not releasing our checks. They have my direct deposit information but I still don't have the payment in my account. Today, I visted the office and was told to wait outside the building for the HR management. Me and this other young lady waited there for over an hour in the cold. No one came out to tell us anything about the status of our checks or any information regarding the matter. Few hours later their security guard comes out and tells us that we may have to come back the next day because they weren't gonna help us. I asked only to know the status of my check or if there was a number I could call to help me with my issue, but he says the HR told him they have nothing to tell me and they don't know what to tell me about my check. I am writing this petition because this is not the first time this happened. And I know going back tomorrow will not change anything unless some higher authority other than the employees can help in this matter. Please hear my petition.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leinalyn Robert

Stand Against Citizens UnitedIf we could pick one word to define the 2014 elections it would be: MONEY. And lots of it. An estimated $3.67 billion was spent was spent on the 2014 elections, much of it by Super PACs and outside spending groups endorsed by the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling. Every Voice and its partners are working to collect 5 million signatures against Citizens United by its fifth anniversary on January 21. Add your name to this growing movement that puts people back at the heart of our democracy -- not just billionaire donors and special interests!38 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Every Voice

Require A Special Prosecutor to Investigate Fatal Use of Force by PoliceI live in St. Louis and want every citizen to have no doubt that they will always receive equal treatment under the law. The prosecutor's decision to use a grand jury and the presentation of evidence to the grand jury did nothing to reassure the public's concern about lack of impartiality. On the contrary, many are left to reasonably wonder whether it was Michael Brown or Darren Wilson that was being investigated. A special prosecutor would go a long way toward restoring trust in future cases of alleged police misconduct.78 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ronald Ramey
