• Stop Conflict of Interest Appointment of Biotech Rep. Clift Tsuji to Chair Hawaii House Agricultu...
Appointing Rep. Clift Tsuji to Chair the Hawaii House Agriculture committee is a clear conflict of interest and breach of ethics. Rep. Clift Tsuji is a known chemical and GE industry proponent and has even been awarded Biotech Legislator of the Year as House Agriculture Chairman! He has taken over $15,000 from the chemical GE industry while Hawaii is being used as an open air genetic and chemical laboratory, and unless our legislators listen to us, he will be Agriculture Chair again. This is a clear conflict of interest and highly inappropriate to appoint Rep. Tsuji to the House Agriculture Committee Chairmanship.

  • Our taxes are not to destroy the Fourth Amendment.
I am concerned that the data being currently gathered will be misused by future administrations as our government becomes more and more secretive and abusive against our civil rights. The current seed of data gathering is similar to the census in Germany before WWII. This data created with the new IBM technology could subsequently be abused to identify all Jews and other enemies of the state and bring about the Final Solution.

  • Set Donzell Lewis free!!!
My brother-in-law was 14 years old when me made the mistake of robbery. He will be turning 32 this month. He was the first 14 year old in Ohio tried as an adult. He is not even eligible for patrol. His only option is judicial release. We are at the mercy of the courts and our judicial system!!! Please offer your support.

  • Federal Tax Rates Need to be Modified
The American working and middle classes have been hit hard financially over the last decade and need some tax relief - a 10% increase in income tax when moving up from the 15% bracket to the next level is too much money out of the pockets of people who are struggling to make a livelihood. A modification needs to be put into effect before our next tax deadline.

  • Achieve the state of the art in voter registration and participation
The most important cause in the world is for people to have a say in their government. It is a disgrace that Kansas lags the state of the art in voter participation by over 50 percent. We can do better: let's make our Founding Fathers proud!

  • Ban Election Officials' Conflict of Interest
In 2000, Ms. Katherine Harris was Florida's Secretary of State, the official in charge of making the elections fair. She was also the chair of George W. Bush's Presidential campaign, the person in charge of making sure Bush was elected. Look what happened. In 2004, Ms. Glenda Hood was in exactly the same position. So was Mr. Ken Blackwell, Secretary of State for Ohio. Despite the obvious fact that a single person cannot be in charge of making sure an election is fair and at the same time make sure one candidate wins, there was nothing illegal about this. Congress must immediately pass a law banning this conflict of interest. Any election official who takes a job working for a candidate running in that election must be forced to resign their position.

  • End excessive tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy.
Giving tax breaks blindly in hopes of the Corporations creating jobs is NOT a cost effective way to spur our economy. For the same 300 billion dollars the Government could have hired 6 million workers Nationwide to begin re-building our roads, bridges and schools.

  • "lt should be legal to feed the poor in Fort Lauderdale
I have been homeless, so I have personal experience with suffering and am very empathetic to others. It strikes me as deeply immoral to have a country so wealthy, yet people so poor. Now it is a crime when individuals take matters into their own hands to help the less fortunate. The government is not providing equality of opportunity and now it feels threatened when good citizens pick up the slack. We the people are "mad as hell and we're not gonna take it anymore". It seems like the government just wants to appear to be needed to help the poor, while only handing out peanuts to a select few, then it criminalizes poverty and those that seek to eliminate it. More prisons, more prisons, disenfranchise more voters, continue oligarchy, militarize the police, etc., etc.
