This past June, due to increasing safety concerns, Jackson Street School had to make the very tough decision to remove the volunteer-built and beloved wooden structure, which had become an iconic play space for generations of Northampton families. As sad as the Jackson Street community was to bid farewell to the structure and gathering space, it views this moment as an opportunity to create a truly accessible, environmentally sound play and educational space, tied in greater measure to the best practices of outdoor play and learning which aid in building minds, bodies, and community. After a period of reflection and dialogue where students, faculty, staff, and families considered their options for moving forward, the Jackson Street community decided to expand a remaining play space (lovingly called the Ms. Agna Playground) and add an outdoor classroom, rather than build an entirely new playground. The community felt that this decision would yield the best stewardship of public and private resources and have the greatest positive impact. We must raise $246,771 and we need the CPA's help to do it!

According to Lyon Township proposal AP-14-45b, AT&T Wireless Tower would like Special Land Use for the property located on the northwest corner of 10 Mile and Milford Road (Shoppes of Lyon). Public hearing to consider a special land use request to allow a proposed 140’ monopole tower; discussion and possible action. We need to band together and STOP this from being erected near our homes! It will be detrimental to our home/property value, potentially hurting the increasing value of our NEW homes. And not to mention It will be a 140 foot tall unappealing tower that will be clearly visible from everywhere. Voter turn out is embarrassingly low. Often election results do not reflect the general consensus. People are led to think their vote does not count, so they don't vote and are unhappy with the outcome. It is everyone's civic duty to vote. Many countries have compulsory voting. It's time we introduce it here before our elections are 100% bought/sold.

We as concerned parents/care givers don't feel that it is appropriate to have a rated R television serious on a "Jr" network television regardless what time it is. There are children that are up at that time of all ages weather they are sick or fighting bedtime. Its is wrong and false advertising. Nick jr is and always has been for young children. We need Blues Clues,Wonder Pets,or Yo Gabba Gabba on not rated R innaprorate shows on .

The earth's climate is getting warmer and humans are responsible. This is a fact supported by more than 97% of climate scientists. The result over the next 50 years and beyond could include massive heat waves, prolonged drought, extreme weather and the mass extinction of species. While virtually all climate scientists agree that human activities are warming the planet, 1 out of 3 members of Congress are stalwart, head-in-the sand climate deniers and many more hide behind other excuses to avoid addressing this threat. We have an election coming up, and we are asking voters to vote for those candidates who are actively strategizing to resolve the climate crisis. It is the responsibility of elected officials to protect citizens. Future generations need non-toxic renewable energy sources and minimal use of fossil fuels. There are half a million migrant children farm workers in America. These children, some only six years old, work seven days a week picking onions, grapes, tobacco, and more. Because there is no law to protect them, there are no restrictions on how old or how long they can work. These children deserve our help.

I am a mother of two teenage boys protesting selective service and the antiquated practice of conscription. My children do not belong to the state. It is my responsibility to protect them from harm and all threats to their health and well being. Facebook is failing to live up to its obligations under its terms of service. It is failing to prevent the platform being used to spread hate and take it viral. Example of clear antisemitism that were reported to Facebook have now been reviewed by them and they have decided not to take any action. The picture of Anne Frank with the text "Whats that burning? Oh, my it's my family" is just one outragous example which was reported to Facebook only for the complaint to be dismissed. The company is letting down the Facebook community, that is us, the people. Change the way reports regarding pages are managed. Pages should use the same “Support Dashboard” as complaints for photos, timelines and profiles. 2. Investigate how the complaints about the images shown at http://ohpi.org.au/?p=286 were rejected 3. Implement better training processes for staff managing complaints 4. Implement ongoing regular systematic audits of complaints processed by front line staff Hate speech can target either a person or a group of people. It includes speech targeting all people of a particular race, nationality, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, sexuality, gender identity, gender, or on the basis of a medical condition or disability. Facebook’s terms of service, the “Statement of Rights and Responsibilities”, clearly state: “You will not post content that: is hate speech”. Facebook must act to remove the hate.
