I started this petition because I am a woman and am a strong advocate for women's rights and marriage equality. I also care about our environment, immigration reform, health care, jobs, tax reform, and a functioning Congress. Mark Udall is the only choice for U.S. Senate in Colorado if these things are important to you!

The Connecticut River Academy has enforced a new rule called the 70% rule for home work. The 70% rule requires that you do 70% of your homework or you automatically fail the class regardless of your current grade. For example, if you do not do 4 home work assignments in a class you fail the class for the quarter even if my actual calculated grade is an -A. Many of our students are balancing school, sports, family, work etc. and every now and then things can get in the way of us doing our homework. Many of our upperclassmen are taking college classes at Goodwin, and the college to high school home work ratio can be too much to handle for many of them, causing them to put their high school homework on hold to complete college work and sustain the grades they need to pass those classes. The missed high school homework is counted against them and they are potentially failing their classes. It is unfair of the school to ask students to put sports, family, work and other activities on hold because they cannot miss between 3 to 4 homework assignments in a quarter. As a student body, many of us think this new rule is completely unjust and want this rule to be removed. If we can abolish this outrageous rule, homework will go back to being 10% of our grades and students can actually have the ability to pass their class even if homework becomes an issue. We need a total of 200 signatures to put up a fight against this policy. Please support the cause.

My home has been flooded several times as well as others on the block of 645 Middleton Dr. due to the street drainage problems on Middleton. We ask that this problem be resolved before spring of the year 2015

As a result of the recent armed robberies that have taken place in our parking garage we do not feel secure. We have contacted officials and have yet to see any change.

Because of TNR programs (implemented by Community cat programs) yearly euthanasia rates drop as high as 30%. Many campuses across the US (including Duke, Stanford, and Utah's own USU) have successful community cat programs in place. A number of students and staff are in support of implementing a program to protect the cats and their homes.

Throughout the school year, students can be under a great deal of pressure. I think one day off per quarter without penalty would be a good way to let kids get a break at their leisure and refocus on school.

I'm starting this petition to find better energy sources, help reduce pollution, Improve the health of our community with nutrition, vitamins and minerals, healthy oils and proteins. Too many people in jails over a plant that is a major benefit to people in food, building industry, medicine, fabrics and clothes. 3-4 times a year harvest. Bring balance to middle class. "Legalize recreational use! Also allow studies on health benefits and cures for disease!" Legalize for home grown! "the use of marijuana should be up to the individual."

An application to demolish the building has been submitted. There is a community meeting on 10/30/14 and a Boston Landmarks Commission Meeting shortly thereafter. Many people want to save this significant historic building, including Boston’s historic preservation advocacy community , state legislators, and over 700 community residents and School alumnae who have already signed a preservation petition.

Labeling how much CO2 we produce will raise personal awareness and increase personal efforts to reduce fuel use. This is a nearly free way to help reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, and address global warming. A typical 16 gal. gas fill-up would note that "303 lbs of CO2 will be emitted to the atmosphere."
