• More Funding For Schools
I am attending high school, and I believe that our school doesn't have as much funding as other schools do. I believe that everyone deserves a proper education with all the tools they need to learn.

  • Powder Puff
I am starting this petition because many people enjoy this event in the fall. So why only hold it once a year? We get a lot of support and its a great turnout. Let's enjoy and have some fun in the spring!

  • Expand DMV hours in Wisconsin for Voter ID
Just 7 weeks before election day, a panel of 3 judges from the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals lifted an injunction, allowing Wisconsin's Voter ID law to go into effect for the November 4th election. Voters who do not have a photo ID that meets the law's requirements will need to obtain an ID card or driver's license through the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles prior to election day. But there is a catch. Wisconsin has just 92 DMV locations statewide, and 49 of those operate just 2 days a week. Four of those offices are open just 6 days a year, with one open as few as just 3 days during the year. 48 of Wisconsin's 72 counties do not have a DMV office open full-time. Offices in 2 counties are not open at all before election day, and others will be open just 3 times before the November election. That is why we are calling on Department of Transportation officials and Governor Walker to immediately institute expanded business hours, including the addition of some weekend hours, at every DMV location in the state.

  • More money for the military, less for sport players
Paying more money for someone who throws a football, kicks a soccer ball, hits a baseball instead of someone who fights for our country I think is wrong. People in the military put their own life on the line just to help save us.

  • Students who participate on any high school sports team should be EXEMPT from Physical Education ...
As an athletic student, I feel gym class is a waste of time. I would rather be educated and be focused in other areas in school instead of being educated on physical activity, which I do everyday after school on my high school swim team. High school athletic students should be exempt from physical education class if they so wish.

  • Retirement security matters!
Too many Coloradans don’t have the means to retire with dignity, putting strain on families and forcing people to work beyond when they planned to. The State Treasurer should lead the charge on the issue, not spend his time on Fox News condemning Social Security or suing the state retirement system. But when it’s time to do the job, Walker Stapleton hardly even shows up. Colorado deserves a full-time Treasurer who makes retirement security a top priority. Sign your name and demand a Treasurer who shows up, works with both sides and keeps politics out of the process. Let him know it’s time to stop using retirement security as a political football and get the job done! Retirement security is too important to ignore, so join us today!

  • Reducing Food Stamp and Welfare Benefits.
My petition is about food stamps and welfare. I am affected by this issue because some of the taxes that I pay go to people who collect food stamps and welfare. Some people deserve to collect food stamps and welfare but others don't.

  • Lower the Legal Drinking Age to 18
The deaths due to drinking age aren't much lower due to the drinking age being higher, and if a kid wants to drink so bad, they are going to find a way to do it, no matter what age they are. "The decrease in drunk driving fatalities as a percentage of total traffic fatalities in the United States does not correlate to the MLDA. Since 1982, two years prior to the Uniform Drinking Age Act establishing an MLDA of 21, a decline of drunk driving fatalities occurred across all age groups and demographic categories, and therefore cannot be reliably attributed to MLDA 21. Traffic accidents and fatalities are most common among newly-legal drinkers, regardless of the MLDA. In 2009, the 21- to 24-year-old age group had the highest percentage of drivers in fatal crashes with blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) levels of .08 or higher – 35 percent. Any increase in traffic accidents or fatalities in 18- to 20-year-olds would be offset by a decrease for those 21 and older. There are fewer drunk driving traffic accidents and fatalities in many countries with MLDA of 18. Although the United States increased the MLDA to 21 in 1984, its rate of traffic accidents and fatalities in the 1980s decreased less than that of European countries whose legal drinking ages are lower than 21." • Prevent Marineland Ontario From Abusing Their Wildlife!
I am starting this petition because animal abuse is still a big problem all over the world, and you can't begin to end this by walking house to house and finding animal abuse behind closed doors. I decided to start with Marineland because it has already been documented that there is animal abuse taking place there. Even 8 former employees came forward and admitted this. If no attention is paid to this, more and more animals that should be free in the wild will be confined in a place that doesn't even treat them properly.

  • Driving Age
I believe the driving age should be increased to age 18 because of a personal life experience. I was 17 at the time and was careless and acted out. I always drove fast, loving the speed. I guess to say I had a need for speed and couldn't help myself. Because I was young and because of being an inexperienced driver I totaled my car and managed to overcome serious damage to myself. I had 11 broken ribs, 14 fractures in my pelvis, a broken shoulder, internal bleeding, and internal damage. Let's prevent this from happening to other kids and raise the driving age.

  • Lower the Legal Drinking Age to 18
At age 18, you are eligible to join the armed forces and die for your country. If you are seen as responsible enough to die fighting for your country, you should also been seen as responsible enough to consume alcohol.
