Since beginning operations in 2013, the NY 'Safety' Track has conducted illegal racing activities at its road safety training facility in rural/residential Harpersfield, NY, regularly running twenty five 1200cc motorcycles at a time at speeds up to 140 miles an hour. The noise levels are destroying the quality of life for residents up to 5 miles away, denying local residents the right to peaceful enjoyment of their properties. My neighbors and I were forced to go to great expense to file a lawsuit against the town and the track, which we won unequivocally. Supreme Court Justice Brian Burns ruled that the activity at the track was illegal and that the town of Harpersfield was obligated to enforce the law. The town has publicly and unabashedly refused to do so - thus far, with impunity. Please help us pressure Harpersfield Supervisor Jim Eisel and his town officials to abide by the law.

As a single mom, my children and I were able to escape our abuser, their father; a situation which has left us without income or child support. Four (4) months after seeking emergency assistance from HRA/DSS, our civil rights have been violated in that our case has been grossly mishandled and left dormant. We have had to live without means to purchase food, clothing, toilet paper, etc. Innumerable phone calls to DSS went unanswered and/ or the phone numbers provided were non-working numbers. We are now in the process of going to a homeless shelter, despite HRA/DSS programs designed to prevent this and despite me fighting every single day, with the help of Senator Tony Avella (D, Queens), to prevent this. It should be noted that myself and Senator Avella are in possession of every single defective document and all telephone records and every erroneous email and communication between myself and HRA/DSS. As an unemployed lawyer in a dismal economy, I choose to fight this battle on behalf of all New Yorkers in need, in order to prevent harm and homelessness to other families.

A new bill in Congress would vastly improve access to contraception for women in the military. Introduced by Sens. I'm starting this petition to get congress and child support to make some much needed child support regulations changes. Men go months without paying and nothing is being done. When they are finally punished and the punishment is over they continue to pay nothing. Women are working 2 different jobs to maintain a house for their kids while the man gets off scott free. I should not have to bring in my income to a review when I'm not being ordered to pay child support. Child support payments should not be based off of both the parents incomes only the father. It's time to stand up an actually make the system work the way it should.

It wasn't bad enough that a young manager from Adriana's Insurance Inc assaulted my elderly grandfather, but after he won the settlement, they paid him $21,000 in dimes, nickles, pennies and quarters. On top of, that my grandfather has a pacemaker and is recovering from a recent hernia surgery. My grandfather is very traditional and believes this gesture of payment is an insult since they know he can't even carry one bucket of coins alone.
