As the largest drugstore chain in the country, I’d hope all the products Walgreens sells would be safe and free of harmful chemicals. They’re not. The chemicals found in some Walgreens' products (including unsafe levels of phthalates in children's toys and lead in pet toys) have been linked to developments disorders, cancer, hormone disruption and other negative health impacts. Please tell Walgreens: Protect your customers and get rid of products containing toxic chemicals.

We are a family of five and we have recently discovered that two of our three children have several food allergies, including wheat, egg, peanuts, and soy. While we are relieved to know what has been plaguing our children and keeping them so ill all this time, it has caused our grocery bill to double! We are really struggling to keep up with just basic necessities!

It’s just sickening. A Subway worker in Freeport, Texas was just fired from her job because she was sick – drenched in sweat and running to the bathroom to vomit, in between making sandwiches. When she approached her boss, she was told “I don’t care. Get back on the line” and “just change shirts” to hide the vomit stains. She looked so bad that while on a break out back, a concerned person saw her and called an ambulance. In view of the recent review of the NCA affiliate program, the Association for Psychoanalysis in Communication (APC) has decided to apply for division status. An overwhelming majority of APC membership are communication scholars who regularly present at the National Communication Association. Since 1968, the LTMUA has provided members of Lower Township, NJ with exceptional and affordable water and sewage utilities – while remaining under budget. "Being hung, drawn, and quartered" is probably "too good" for President Obama -- that's what Stephen Steinlight, the Senior Policy Analyst for the Center for Immigration Studies, recently said. In discussing Speaker Boehner’s plans to sue the President, Steinlight said that “there’s no court that’s going to stop Obama from doing anything,” adding: "We all know, if there ever was a president that deserved to be impeached, it’s this guy. Alright? And I wouldn’t stop. I would think being hung, drawn, and quartered is probably too good for him." Mr. Steinlight's comments are outrageous and what's even more outrageous is that Steinlight’s group is popular with House Republicans, especially the current and former chairs of the House Judiciary Committee Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Lamar Smith (R-TX), who regularly invite CIS to testify at immigration hearings. CIS staffers have even been known to work hand in glove with Republican members of Congress. And it's not just these comments that are problematic. CIS has strong ties to a shady group called "FAIR" which is recognized as a Hate Group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Organizations with strong ties to hate groups should never be called to testify as expert witnesses at Congressional hearings. Somethings should just go unsaid -- and this is one of them! Yet, Republicans do it all of the time. Please join me in demanding that Republican leaders put an end to "experts" with strong ties to hate groups testifying in Congressional hearings.

We call on President Obama to rescind the invitation to Yahya Jammeh for the US-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, DC from August 4-6, 2014. Like the leaders of Central Africa Republic, Eritrea, Sudan and Zimbabwe, he does not belong in this historic gathering. Countless Gambians who have fled their once peaceful land for refuge in the United States of America and elsewhere vehemently oppose his invitation to the summit. And all Gambians at home and abroad fighting to restore democracy in their homeland feel abandoned and betrayed that a brazen despot of his stripe will be given such a respectable honor and eminent platform. His presence will also be a mockery of the democratic principles and theories the Founding Fathers fought for to make the United States the beacon of freedom and liberty in the world. His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya Alfonso Jemus Junkung Jammeh, as he likes to be called, is among other things: 1) A brutal and cruel despot. He has ruled The Gambia through fear and wanton repression since his military coup two decades ago. 2) Hostile to the United States. His allies have been fellow despots and dictators notorious for their hostility toward the United States. The list includes: Sani Abacha of Nigeria, Fidel Castro of Cuba, Ahmadinejad of Iran, Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Bashar al-Assad of Syria, Vladimir Putin of Russia and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea. 3) An avowed enemy of freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law. He disregards constitutional separation of powers, controls the state media for his exclusive use and propaganda, clamps down on the private media, conducts summary executions; arrests, abducts, detains, tortures and disappears journalists, human rights activists, imams, lawyers, members of the security forces, members of the oppositions and other dissidents without any due process; and blacklists outspoken citizens in the United States and other countries for arrest and prosecution in show trials when they visit The Gambia. 4) A charlatan and a quack. Only few years ago, he carried out a nationwide witch hunt after his aunt died of what he blamed on witchcraft, rounded up hundreds of helpless old people and forced them to drink hallucinogenic concoctions, which led to the death of many. He claims to find a miracle cure for HIV/AIDs, diabetes, infertility and other medical conditions, and carries out his quirky treatments on national television, and engages in all manners of superstitious rituals and sacrifices to give meaning to his supernatural pretensions and messianic delusions. 5) Corrupt and greedy. He grabs lands from peasants, owns taxis, bakeries, butcheries and numerous other retail and large businesses, confiscates properties from investors, and raids the national coffers for his personal enrichment and lavish expenses. Even though The Gambia is one of the poorest countries in the world, with more than 50% living in extreme poverty, Yahya Jammeh is one of the wealthiest men in Africa. This man harasses the community. This man does not meet the adequate standards or beliefs or morals of an exemplary police officer. This man has harassed me and surly other patrons of Tidioute for 12 years. I strongly believe that he should be removed from his position as a Tidioute borough police officer.

The public should be concerned about this issue because, their children are being targeted on this site. There are no concrete registration policies in place to be able to track anyone using the site for predatory purposes.

The DCCC is always asking for donations but won't even finance candidates in areas from which they've received contributions. We need a 435 District effort to return control of the House to the Democrats!

The impacts of air gun blasting include temporary and permanent hearing loss, abandonment of habitat, disruption of mating and feeding, and even beach strandings and death. For whales and dolphins, which rely on their hearing to find food, communicate, and reproduce, being able to hear is a life or death matter. The most immediate concern is attempting to stop what is essentially the massacre of dolphins, whales and other marine life that will occur because of these blasts.
