Our route is beyond the ability of elementary students, especially K-4th grade. We need a bus for our students.

Many in Florida are suffering from the current tight restrictions on our pharmacies to limit the amount of pain medication they are allowed to dispense. They are just following the guidelines set by our state pharmacy board. Therefore we must take it to all levels of government by signing a petition and writing either by email or regular postage mail to our legislature. HERE IS OUR PETITION LETTER TO BE SENT TO FLORIDA LEGISLATURE AND STATE PHARMACY BOARD To: Florida Pharmacy Association, National Pharmacy Association, Members of Florida legislators, Florida Board of Pharmacy, the 27 Members of Congress who represent Florida, 40 state senators, and our two senators. We combined Florida residents are pleading for consideration to Stop Florida pharmacies from denying my pain medication. We are writing to urge pharmacies in Florida to ensure that their pharmacists fill legal and legitimate prescriptions for pain medicines and keep in stock a sufficient quantity of these medications. Floridians living with pain are having an increasingly difficult time obtaining their pain medication many of which have been prescribed for years. It has been noted that the elderly who must have their medication for true ability to walk, and have quality of life are actually moving back north so they may have quality of life. We have found ourselves driving from pharmacy to pharmacy spending whole days just to have a pharmacist state "we are out at this time". The current regulations are too strict in the ability to find a pharmacy that has the medication on hand. We are not allowed to phone pharmacies, nor can the major chain pharmacies make a courtesy call for us to another location to verify they may have quantity on hand. It’s not uncommon to hear about pharmacists giving false reasons for their unwillingness to fill prescriptions, even claiming that there is a national shortage of a medication. We are aware that the pharmacist is not to blame, as the regulations placed on pharmacies in the amount they may order is strict. Florida has had an issue with prescription pain medicine abuse, however don't lose sight that Florida has a large population of the elderly meaning our state has more than our share of people with chronic pain. It is unethical for pharmacists to turn their backs on these people, instead of helping them find relief from their pain. We are simply asking for fewer restrictions on the amount of pain medications a pharmacy may keep on supply. We understand the plight of the pharmacies, as they are under extreme regulations from the state board and DEA. Is it that the true individuals who have resided in our state for years to be punished because of the states fault of allowing the problem to escalate by the uncontrolled pill mill clinics to open while ignoring the problem until too late? Now punishing our chronic pain residents. Now, after the state cleaned up the pill mill problem, We assure you it is almost impossible to obtain new prescriptions for pain medication in the state, why punish the real in need public. We ask you kindly remove the strict regulations on the pharmacies so we may live without pain and depression. Thank You

It was at least the second such incident in three weeks at the club. Do you want this type of behavior to continue in Chevy Chase. I don't. We cannot play political Hollywood shuffle when it comes to proper oversight and accountability of the NYPD now that the Medical Examiner’s office report is clear that Eric Garner's death was a result of the illegal choke-hold applied by the NYPD Officer — and ruled the death a homicide. For the Mayor and the Commissioner to really understand the impact of NYPD's failed oversight of policies violators, they should meet with the families that have been affected by the actions of their officers who have violated the Policies and Procedures. Mayor de Blasio and Commissioner Bratton have had closed door meetings with the NAACP and Al Sharpton without Black Law Enforcement organizations, Police Brutality Victim organizations or Police Oversight organizations. For Commissioner Bratton to insist on using LAPD for guidance to retrain NYPD is insulting to say the least. LAPD continues to have a history of Police Criminality. This would be the case of the blind leading the blind. This is why the only solution has been to retrain. Retraining is the usual politically correct answer when you fail to address the root cause of Police Criminality in your rank and file and management in your department. Are we to believe that NYPD can retrain approximately 35,000 officers in an adequate amount of time? Retrain them in what? How many more use of force reviews shall we have? In the Garner killing, the NYPD policy is clear "choke-holds will NOT be Used". The training and policies are not the problem of the NYPD. The Homicide of Eric Garner if a result of failed oversight and management of the NYPD. The officer who is identified using this illegal choke-hold should be suspended without pay immediately! The problem that Mayor de Blasio must be clear on addressing is the enforcement of the NYPD Policies and Training and holding those officers accountable who break those policies when their actions are in conflict with the training they have received. Hold Police Management and Supervisors accountable for failing to supervise and correct officers under their command when officers violate NYPD Policy, Procedure and Training. Police Behavior Modification is when police management are Accountable to Suspend, Dismiss and if necessary recommend Criminal Charges when officers violate Training, Policy and Procedure of their department. Police Behavior Modification sends a clear message that there will be no tolerance for officers violating Policy, Procedure and Training that will put the lives of civilians, fellow officers and the credibility of the police department at risk. More than 16,000 people - 5000 more than the 11,203 first required by the city - signed the citizen-led petitions to place reduced marijuana penalties on the ballot for voters this fall. But after the 60-day petition period ended, city hall says they made a mistake and raised the requirement, keeping the question off the ballot. City councilors have a new resolution to ask voters if the city should adopt the proposed measure and they want to hear from voters. Tell them to honor the will of voters who did their part to hold this election.

As millions of low-wage American workers struggle to make ends meet, pay their rent and feed their families, 41 Republican Senators blocked raising the minimum wage but will benefit from a "cost of living" salary increase of $2800 starting this coming January. To earn $2800 takes a minimum wage worker 386 hours or 48 days. As we continue to see wage inequality spiral out of control, this move is UNCONSCIONABLE and UNFAIR. Tell your Senator to RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE and ATTACH A COLA before they take their salary increase this January
