• Station Agents Must Remain at NYC Subway Entrances
As a resident of the Bronx, I have personally seen what has happened to station entrances where there is no human presence. At least today, people have the option to go to a staffed entrance and stay in the off-hour waiting area until their train comes. Without an agent in a fixed position, this vital safety/security feature will be useless. We need a human presence in the subway system!

  • An Urgent Request: Justice for Chris Woodard
I am a patient advocate. Chris is not a drug kingpin, he is a patient, with a family. When the police can go in without a warrant, which Long Beach does on a regular basis, it is a police state, something needs to be done. We have appealed to many, and nobody in government is listening.

  • Increase the Minimum Wage to a Livable Wage.
The petition is about minimum wage. When I was young I lived on minimum wage and had many disadvantages, little food, not much leftover for entertainment, like movies, or for clothing and household supplies. I depended on Public Transportation in an area with very poor service, leaving me with extensive wait time. This was not an easy way to live.

  • Help FL's Poverty Workforce!!
It's sad to know that many of us have effectively had our pay decreased over the last 20 yrs. Due simply to the fact that we do not earn much more and costs have so drastically increased. ONCE AGAIN-- How is it that we can not support our families, with two incomes, doing the same jobs that our parents and grandparents were able to retire from with one income??

  • Tell the Arkansas state legislature to raise the minimum wage!
Our state's current minimum wage is not enough for anyone to live on. I am now working at a restaurant chain in Little Rock. I do demanding physical labor preparing food, washing dishes, mopping floors, and folding boxes. We deserve an economy that works well for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. Please join me in calling on the Arkansas state legislature to raise the minimum wage to $10.10.

  • Minimum Wage Increase
Since 1978 executive pay at American firms has grown by approximately 127 times the average worker pay. It's time that we encourage a more collaborative relationship throughout all levels of our companies. Fairly rewarding all employees will have a positive impact on the economy, boost morale and promote sustainability.

  • Tell Ohio state legislature to raise the minimum wage!
Our state's minimum wage is $7.95. That's not enough for anyone to live on. We need an economy that's fair to every hard-working American. Join me in calling on our state legislature to pass legislation to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 (or higher!).

  • Raise the wage in Florida!
And at the local and state level, just a few hundred petition signatures, or a few dozen phone calls or hand-written letters, can make all the difference. But we need your help to get started.
