William RussellThis petition concerns both a fair wage for honest work and increasing the value of food stamps and welfare, so working single Mothers, et al, can feed their children and live above the poverty level in the richest nation on the planet. There's no excuse for a Christian nation to force honest workers into poverty. What would Jesus say?2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Russell

A call for the Arizona State Government to raise the minimum wage.Could you live on $7.90 an hour? That is $316. for a 40 hour week. Deducted from that will be Social Security and any taxes and other dues or company expenses. Yet many thousands of Arizonans are asked to get by on this minimum wage. It is time for our Governor, Senate and Legislature to raise the minimum wage to at least $10.50 an hour (still to low). You can do you part by signing this petition3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Re. Lent House RestorationPeekskill's oldest building, the Lent House, has been deteriorating for decades. It is an important reminder of Peekskill's place in history, and desperately needs restoration. Funding, willpower, and voices are needed to preserve this gem before it is lost forever.213 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Phyllis Senghaas

Tell Arizona Legislature To Raise the Minimum WageHaving struggled for years to "make ends meet" (they never did!), I know how hard it is to earn only minimum wages. The whole state benefits when people can earn more, and social service/public aid can consequently be reduced.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Rambaldi

Raise the Minimum wage to $11.50 in MissouriI feel sorry for the people in Missouri that is trying to raise a family and unable to exist on the current minimum wage. In the meantime, many companies and corporations are exploring these employees for their own enormous profits. We should all care for one another!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paul

Congress! Give Us A Pay RaiseI am starting a petition to try and help people who are on minimum wage salaries earn some sort of a living. It's pretty sad when we have people out there in the work force who work hard every day not being to even make a livable wage for their toil. This needs to be fixed NOW!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William von Zangenberg

Governor McCory:Raise North Carolina Minimum WageI live in North Carolina, Castle Hayne growing up and hearing stories about how if I did well in school and got a job I could move out, start a family, buy a car... but I find myself instead being unable to even afford Car Insurance. My mother has to drive me everywhere as I just don't have the money for car insurance which is legally required for a license. I go hungry many nights because there isn't enough to go grocery shopping with. I am a transwoman who needs GRS that Medicaid won't pay to treat, but I can't get the money to save up for the surgery. I'm tired of living like I'm a third world country, and I know others are too. I see long lines at the food bank from people blaming themselves when the real problem is in the economy. I am an Office Aide working for a State Funded Disability Agency where I make minimum wage at less than twenty hours a week. I work with our disabled, I make new filing systems, I type more than 50 WPM. But it doesn't pay me a living wage. Most of it goes to gas to get to work. It's insane. I think it's time we demanded a higher wage. I'm tired of being hungry.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jessica Kylie Nichols-Vernon

MissouriOur state's (Missouri) current minimum wage is $7.25. That's not enough for anyone to live on. We deserve an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected. Join with me in calling on our state legislature to pass legislation to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 or higher.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by S Lomax

We Deserve Better Wages! We are so behind on what we should be getting paid per hour. It's time to raise the minimum wage here in Wisconsin like the lawmakers have done in Connecticut, and D.C. $10 - $12.00 per hour would be a great first step so we can earn a liveable wage. Ya give enough tax breaks to the ultra rich, give those that actually do the work a chance to provide for their families without having to rely on State &Federal assistance!2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Roger Henderson
