As a part of the Lexus EcoChallenge, our group is trying to solve problems of Global Warming. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, mainly carbon dioxide. Transportation accounts for about 31% of total U.S. CO2 emissions and 26% of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2011. Greater access to public transportation, will reduce the amount of cars on the road reducing CO2 emissions.

Speedway is seeking zoning variances on the four (4) acres formerly occupied by the old Mt View Inn property in order to construct a gas station, convenience store with a large portion devoted to fueling large diesel vehicles such as tractor trailers and construction vehicles (see area in red square below). These variances include the permitting of fueling on the property and deviations to the township landscaping ordinances as well as signage. This proposal will significantly increase traffic of large trucks entering and exiting Route 30 and more importantly increase the potential for congestion and accidents in an intersection currently rated a “D” by PennDot. In addition, the proposed Speedway will also contribute to light/air pollution and significantly increase vehicular noise in the community in which we live. As a Unity Township homeowner, I strongly oppose this development as proposed.

Fans of this team have suffered enough. Ernie Grunfeld has shown that he's incapable of constructing a team that can compete in today's game. He hasn't made a single move in the past five years that has shown any promise, outside of elite talents which were given to him in Wall and Beal, he's always dealing from behind in trades. What talent we do possess is being squandered by a vastly inferior coaching staff.

I am the mother of an autistic son who likes to wonder off. I have tried to get help from the waiver, paying for a device that would keep track of where my son is at in case he wonders, and would also alert me if he got a certain distance away for his own safety. It would also allow him to do small things somewhat independently without sacrificing his safety. Many autistic individuals go missing and are harmed needlessly.

A victim of bullying, and race and sex discrimination at Tustin High School was suspended for 5 days after attempting to protect himself from his attacker. The orange county district attorney subsequently filed battery charges against the victim not the attacker. What type of message is this sending to the victims of bullying and hate? Let them know that this is not ok by signing this petition.

PA Bill 1576 was proposed by Senator Pyle for easy land development. The bill allows the created Independent Regulatory Review Commission to "evaluate" Fish and Game's list of endangered species. By the bills order, the committee cannot protect any endangered species not already protected on the federal protected species list. This action removes most of PA's endangered species from protection.This committee is influenced by the gas and timber industries, thereby allowing companies to profit at the expense of our species and land. The hydraulic fracturing, drilling, and clear cutting following suite also presents major health concerns. To add species to the protected list will be near impossible because the new committee's process is designed to benefit profiteering.

If SNAP benefits are cut it will affect many people who are already struggling with hunger. Many children go to school hungry every day and this number will only grow if SNAP benefits are cut.

This is one way to reduce our carbon footprint, saving our planet one neighborhood at a time.

Human Sex Trafficking is the coercive act of movement or non-movement of persons, used for the profit, in exchange for sex or labor. It is personal to me because I have been a victim. The problem is getting worse and worse. The human rights of a person should be America's top priority. Make unpaid labor illegal. Stop censoring public awareness. Respect the victim's rights with regard to privacy. Do not criminalize the victim. Enforce the law against every trafficker!
