The US Government is using shaky legal interpretations to justify a literal back door into major internet and telecom companies. It is sucking up photos, videos, IMs, emails, phone numbers, stored documents, internet searches, and more. These opaque intelligence programs are overly broad and need more oversight. They trample on our right to privacy and are not making us safer.

I received the new survey that demanded that I answer all the questions to 28 pages of intrusive,personal,and inappropriae questions from the U.S Census Bureau,The detailed questions concerned matters that are far beyond the governments business, including mental, emotional,and physical health, intimate personal habits, inside and outside of ones dwelling,income assesses,family status,social benefits' and the list goes on and on., ,

My family and I are personally affected by big chemical companies like Monsanto that are now controlling what we eat. GMO food companies are poisoning our bodies, killing our bees, bullying our small farmers to shut down their farms by monopolizing the food business, and making farmers around the world rely only on them for our food. Let's start with New Jersey and push back by demanding that our food be labeled. Let us choose what we want to put in our bodies.

Please veto HB77 which is clearly written to be pro-landlord and anti-tenant. Protect Florida residents from unscrupulous Landlords and launch a review and investigation on current Statutes that already leave Florida tenants vulnerable. HB77 makes the assumption that the Landlord is always right, and tenants have no worth. Tenants who cannot afford counsel are especially at risk. To provide Landlords with even more protection without an honest, in depth look at what is happening to many Florida tenants would be irresponsible lawmaking. Florida Landlords already have limited responsibility and there are few if any real regulatory agencies to force Landlords to maintain their properties or provide proper accounting to their tenants who pay the mortgages on their income producing properties. There is no aid for tenants who fall victim to these bad Landlords. If a tenant complains to a Landlord for lack of maintenance for instance, a Landlord can at any time, file retaliatory and fraudulent lawsuits against tenants and virtually force tenants and families into homelessness. Statistics would probably show that single women, the elderly and women with children and minorities would be particularly vulnerable.

This petition was started due to very serious concerns with the performance of Principal Torres at Beach School. I am a parent of three students at Beach and in Principal Torres' first year I have witnessed significant deterioration in the school morale and serious doubts arise about the schools ability to deliver quality education under her watch. Beach has a strong, diverse community of involved parents and teachers that have created a school environment which is the envy of many other public schools. In her first year Principal Torres has been a poor communicator, a poor planner, a poor collaborator, and largely disengaged from the teachers, students, and parents that make up the school community. It now appears many teachers will leave the school due to her lack of support and leadership.

Individuals who are not clearly participating in armed combat are entitled by international law to a presumption of civilian status, which signature strikes effectively deny by classifying unknown people as "militants" and therefore "targetable" based on secret intelligence, of unknown accuracy, that their behavior or appearance is judged to be "typical of militants." Signature strikes have led to a high proportion of civilian casualties, which violates international law. U.S. refusal to acknowledge the potential harm to civilians can increase blowback from impacted communities and denies victims the justice they deserve. ‘Signature’ drone strikes pose the greatest risk of killing civilians, are the most dubious legally, and create tremendous blowback against America. Tell Congress to move now to end these signature strikes, save innocent lives, protect America from the blowback of killing innocent civilians, and restore the rule of law. The Illinois Legislature just passed a bill to regulate fracking. The bill was delivered to the governor for his signature on June 6. The bill fails to provide any setbacks to prohibit fracking in our state parks. Sponsored by Global Warming Solutions Group of Central Illinois.

The Guardian just exposed a massive government spying program. Using the Patriot Act, the U.S. government has been secretly tracking the calls of every Verizon Business Network Services customer—to whom they spoke, from where, and for how long—for the past 41 days. Verizon Business Network Services is one of the nation's largest telecommunications and internet providers for corporations, so this could apply to the calls of millions of Americans. What we don't know yet is how many other telecommunications companies have been issued similar orders by the government or what the scope of the government's program is. This program is a disgrace. It's all over the news RIGHT NOW, so we have to respond immediately, with a strong public outcry to President Obama. He has to know that Americans will not stand for this gross abuse of government power. Call on President Obama to put an immediate stop to this unconstitutional government spying program. In 2012, Sens. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) and Mark Udall (D-Colo.) wrote, “When the American people find out how their government has secretly interpreted the Patriot Act, they are going to be stunned and they are going to be angry." During the month of June, the Senate will consider and vote on S 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act." The bill is a bipartisan effort to provide long-awaited and desperately needed immigration reform. When S 744 was marked up in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) did everything he could to derail the bill. He introduced 49 mean-spirited amendments that were mostly rejected even by members of his own party. Senator Sessions will likely continue his attempts to obstruct passage of this important and historical legislation. Sessions has a long history of opposing civil rights and making racially offensive remarks. He once called the NAACP 'un-American," made jokes about the Ku Klux Klan, and prosecuted three civil rights workers for voter fraud. He has been an ardent supporter of Alabama's HB 56, the nation's most intrusive and hateful anti-immigrant law.
