GENERAL MARK WELSH USAF MUST GOAir Force Chief of Staff Mark A. Welsh III says that 20% of women who volunteer for duty have already been sexually molested or are part of the "hook up" culture and therefore they get raped in the military. President Obama says our Military Members should know that the Commander in Chief has their back. Well prove it Mr. President. Fire General Mark Welsh for his ridiculous conclusion that service members arrive as damaged goods and therefore can be further sexually assaulted by those under his command. We fight wars abroad. Not AT HOME.4,511 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Randi Rhodes

Support Single-payer HealthcareOur healthcare costs are increasing at an alarming rate, threatening the solvency of our country, because we don't regulate them like most countries. Healthcare doesn't need to be a profit-center for private corporations. We also need to provide healthcare coverage to the millions of Americans who lack it. Not only is it the humane thing to do, it's economical.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Carey

Water birth at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, IDWomen who give birth at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID should have the option of Water Birth. The hospital's policy is that women are welcome to labor in the tubs provided, but are to leave before or when pushing begins. This cannot be forced upon you, but if you want to give birth in the water, which has many benefits and a great safety record, this should be welcomed with trained staff alongside you. It is a very safe option for pain management and comfort during labor as well as a gentle beginning for baby. Many women would labor longer without medication if this was an option which could shorten the time of side effects and risks of those medications. It will allow the opportunity for amazing birth experiences for those who choose to birth this way. I have not seen evidence of a written policy and would like one to be implemented.101 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Shannon Steffler

Interior Department Should Proclaim Eminent Domain of Wounded Knee S.D.James A. Czywczynski of Rapid City, South Dakota, purchased the 40 acres of Wounded Knee in 1968. The taxable value of the land is $6,600.00, however he is attempting to sell the land back to the Oglala Sioux for $3.9 million. He has given the tribe until June 1 to express interest in the land. Given the historic significance of the land, it is time for the United States Secretary of Interior, Sally Jewell, to declare "eminent domain" on all of Mr. Czywczynski's Wounded Knee property. Native Americans from across the country go to Wounded Knee to remember the wounds that have never healed there. Return this land to the Oglala Sioux tribe so the wounds can begin to heal.618 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Ann Colstrup

Flush Rush! This Petition is to convince Lew Dickey, head of Cumulus media, to dump Rush Limbaugh and any programming produced by Limbaugh's EIB network. Cumulus media's ad revenues have declined as a result of grassroots action against Limbaugh's advertisers. Conservatives should have right to hear their champions on the radio, but Limbaugh's incendiary rhetoric has led to unprecedented partisan divisiveness in this country.29 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jim Lewis

Cable companies monopoly and surchargesVerizon has become a do it yourself Co. for its customers and nobody can explain de variety of taxes and surcharges in our bills. They can charge whatever they want because the only competitor in my area, Comcast is even worse and there are no regulations that can stop them from doing it.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paula Litvak

Label GMO foodThere isn't enough research to show that GMO crops are safe. We should be able to chose for ourselves if we are willing to risk our health and our families health by eating food containing GMO crops. Please pass a bill that requires all foods with GMO to be labled as such. 16154-new-gmo-labeling-bill-will-be-the-ultimate-test-between-the-will-of-the-people-versus-the-greed-and-power-of-the-biotech-industry2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shelley Mansker

Mandate covered loads on all vehiclesToo many times I see debris (or hear of it on the radio) on the freeways of California and many times accidents are the result. As I understand it, the current California law only holds a driver responsible for items dropped from their vehicle if the items cause an accident and this can be proven. It would be so much more sensible to have a law mandating all loads be secured or covered to prevent such incidents from happening.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alan Dalziel

No "Chained" COLA, add food & energy back in to CPIThe administration and Congress are promoting a plan to "Chain" the consumer price index used to calculate the annual Cost of Loving Allowance for Social Security recipients. This "Chaining" would assume that as the price of an item increases, consumers would buy a different item. This is blatantly unfair to those who contributed to Social Security in good faith their whole lives.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Folsom

I Stand With Elizabeth Warren: America's Students Deserve the Same Loan Rates as Big Banks. We've all heard the stories or lived the hardship ourselves: young Americans trying to move our economy and country forward, but being saddled with so much student loan debt it's nearly impossible. Now, if Congress doesn't act, our already-too-high student loan rate of 3.4% is about to *double* to 6.8% - while banks keep their sweet 0.75% deal. ENOUGH. Students deserve the same preferential interest rates that the Big Banks get. Let's get this done.2,846 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by The Other 98%
