  • No pay for congress until they pass a budget
    Congress is not doing their job. Every year, they are supposed to pass a budget. Because of their incompetence thousands of federal employees are facing furloughs. Everyone in my agency, the Bureau of Indian Affairs received furlough letters. Many agencies across the government are facing furloughs. Congress needs to have some accountability.

  • TAX THE RICH: Like we used to.
    Tax the rich at the % rate before Ronald Reagan lowered it from 80% to 35%. Balance the budget on the backs of the people who can most afford it. Not the old and the disabled! Reagan's tax GIFT to the top 1% is unknown to the majority of Americans. At the least this petition will educate them to this deed done 40 years ago to the American tax paying public.

  • Allow same-sex couples at St. John's prom
    Saint John's is an all-male high school in Worcester County, Massachusetts. They do not allow same-sex couples to attend semi-formals or proms. As an Alumni of Saint John's I would like this policy changed. I want all my fellow Pioneers to have an equal access to all of the experiences Saint John's offers. This is the second petition on this issue. The first was taken down.

  • Standardize sentencing guidelines for sex offenders in Arizona.
    There are no rules for sentencing sex offenders in Arizona. Defense attorneys are not providing rigorous defenses and a person caught urinating in the middle of the night behind a bar can receive as many or more years than a pedophile. This needs to stop. Not all sex offender crimes are equal!

    The historic and sacred site of the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre is about to be sold at auction to the highest bidder. It should be preserved as a National Monument, not sold for condos or private use.     For 25 years this couple has saved Long Island's Wildlife in Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation (WINORR). They have federal and state licenses for wildlife rehabilitation and help animals from ducks to foxes thrive in this developed area. But this crucial group could be shut down by the town of Oyster Bay, Long Island based Oyster Bay residents alleged complaints, the town has decided ducks, turkeys, hawks and baby foxes are "dangerous animals," thus making it illegal to keep them in a residential area under a town ordinance.
