PA DEP TO APPROVE ANOTHER SHALE GAS POWER PLANT We're calling on you to ensure that the Berks Hollow Power Plant does not proceed before we get the public hearing we deserve. PA DEP is about to issue an air quality permit for a huge source of air pollution in Berks County - a natural gas power plant. This plant will emit many tons of volatile organic compounds and other harmful pollutants as well as methane, a potent greenhouse gas. Air pollutants from the plant and the station harm the health of nearby residents, create smog, and accelerate climate change. Pennsylvania continues to approve permits for large natural gas facilities at an alarming rate.

This petition is to put the heat on the mean and cruel Republicans in the State Legislature who have voted to NOT accept Federal Medicaid Assistance.

It Is A National Disgrace The USA has more people in Prison than any other country and it costs over $1 Trillion per year. We are all affected by this disaster. We should ask both the States and Congress to reduce prison populations by half over the next five years. Spend the savings on Education.

Only our soldiers, their family and friends have sacrificed for these wars! Even Paul Ryan has said this will have a very small impact on deficit reduction; however, the impact will be far greater on individual retirees who are dependent on social security. Many Alzheimer's and Dementia Facilities use a Bracelet that sounds an alarm when a wandering patient walks outside. However the Bracelet does not have a GPS tracking device, and if the staff is unable to, or does not act on the alarm immediately, the patient may be at serious risk. My Mother-in-law who had dementia walked out of a Alzheimer's facility and although an alarm was tripped the staff was not aware of her missing for at least an hour. Despite a massive search including the family, staff, city, county, and State police she was found dead of hypothermia many hours later. She could have been found immediately with a GPS tracking device!

Guess what Pleasant Prairie, your Outdoor Theater (which opened in 1949) sadly is scheduled to close after this summer. Unfortunately, this lot along with at least two others has caught the attention of none other than - Walmart Stores, Inc, who is reportedly looking at multiple locations in Pleasant Prairie to build a store. Pleasant Prairie is prime real estate between two major cities for new, small businesses to set up shop. Studies have proven that Walmart is a small business killer, no one can compete with the cut throat competition that is Walmart. This will not encourage new business growth in the Village. Walmart is also a leader in minimum wage, no benefits, part time jobs. This is not a sound economic decision for the Village of Pleasant Prairie. Is this the vision you have for your Village? Walden University is abusing student financial aid, through use of fradulent tactics. This action is a breach by Walden implied covenant of good faith and fair dealings, and is an attempt by Walden University to pursuie unjust financial enrichment. Walden University is also violationing the Unfair Trade Practice Act and committing t fraudulent misrepresentation and deceptive business practices.

Anyone who eats food knows that bees pollinate over 30% of the food we eat and 80 - 90% of flowering plants. Without bees pollinating our flowers you would never eat an apple or an orange again unless a human pollinated each flower individually.
