Seniors and others have paid into this their entire lives

Save Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. We worked hard to accomplish what we have and what's due us. Please sign our petition to stop any cuts to Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, here and now and into the future, and preserve any already planned increases. The Retired and Poor can't really live on what they have now. Please help us stop them from cutting benefits now and in the future.

I ask one simple question. Can there be true democracy without equality of opportunity? I do not believe so and yet it is clear that there is not such equality in our so called democratic societies. This petition is one step in trying to change that situation

My mother is on Social Security. She worked ALL of her adult life as a single mom well into retirement and now after paying into a system that PROMISED she would see a SUBSTANTIAL return on her investment to help her in her Golden years AND that it would increase as inflation increases. That is the promise we all THOUGHT was in place when we see that SS money taken out of our hard earned paychecks!

Trempealeau County has been targeted by numerous sand mine companies to start sand operations of one sort of the other. As public hearings are taking place, citizens have witnessed the board members chuckling at them as they state their concerns. Citizens have been also been told that they are "spoiled" when it comes to their peaceful country life. We have been told we will not be affected by the sand mines and their dust, pollution or noise. The citizens of Trempealeau County want our voices heard and we want our concerns acknowledged. Please help us send a message to our state legislature that we are not comfortable with the mines coming to our towns, to our homes, or to our communities! Save our land. Save our communities. Save our way of life.

The money that was supposed to be allocated for this program has been gutted over several administrations due to the "need" for more spending. It's a crime that needs to be addressed. American taxpayers relied on the promise of having Social Security in their golden years and contributed to supporting our economy.
