    The Inglewood Community Adult School provides valuable educational services to the anyone 18 years and older, along with high school students short of a few credits. Eliminating the Adult school could contribute to the drop out rate and possibly lower children's test scores, because their parents will no longer be learning the skills they lack.

  • allow the sale of diesel cars in maine
    Maine currently does not allow the sale of diesel cars for environmental reasons. This law was passed before the advent of low sulfur diesel and before the cars were getting great milage ( as much as 78mpg!) we need these vehicles. Right now emissions are calculated by the gallon and not by the miles traveled. If this were changed we would have access to these cost saving cars and it would help our environment

    Water is a precious resource, and one Arizonans have gone without in dire times. No one should be without water, nor should electricity be so costly.     The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service indicated that it will deny a request to build a road through remote wilderness areas of Alaska’s Izembek National Wildlife Refuge. The Izembek National Wildlife Refuge is internationally recognized for its important wetlands and wildlife habitat, and as congressionally designated Wilderness. This decision now goes to the Secretary of the Interior to be finalized -- Tell Secretary Salazar that you stand behind the Fish and Wildlife Service’s decision , and urge him to finalize and adopt the agency’s decision to deny this proposed road.

    Oregonians demand an outside unbiased peer review (NOT ODFW’s “review”) of Oregon’s cougar management plan and an accurate cougar population count.  We need to be assured that our vote for Measure 18 is being honored!  We need to take a step in a better direction and start protecting these great cats!   Oregon’s Cougar Management plan isn't working.  It never has.  It is a failed plan with failed policies.
