The Congress of the United States no longer represent their constituency. Rather, they are beholden to their respective parties dogma and lobbying groups. The fractious nature of these allegiances lead to division and intransigence, at the sake of discouraging pragmatism and willingness to compromise for the betterment of society. Subsequently, American Citizens become the victims of Congress's complacency, disinterest and ineptitude. In an effort to end the "good-ole-boys/girls" clubs in the US Congress, mandatory limits (two consecutive terms ) need to be enacted into law.

Foods made from Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) are everywhere. Studies have shown that these foods can be toxic, causing health problems from food allergies to cancer. Big companies continue to produce these foods because they are inexpensive and withstand the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides. These companies have a powerful lobby organization, and have a multitude of politicians in their back pocket. It is time for the people to make our voice heard! We have the right to know if GMOs are in the foods that we eat, so that we can make informed decisions about our health and wellness, and that of our families.

Wall Street has been an engine for income inequality. It is time it became an engine for growth in the real economy where 99% of Americans live. We need to return Wall Street to its original purpose of serving as a bridge between investment and American businesses that create jobs. No more gambling with other people’s money instead of investing in America! Out of four deficit-reducing proposals, this “Robin Hood Tax” is estimated to bring in Six Times As Much ($352 Billion) as the nearest option, President Obama’s Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee at $61 Billion. [Financial transaction tax: JCT 2011 estimate of “Wall Street Trading and Speculators Tax Act” (S. 1787, H.R. 3313)] The timing is perfect because the European Union is enacting a Financial Transactions Tax in eleven Eurozone nations (90% of the Eurozone GDP) including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Belgium. Thirty nations have transfer taxes including Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and the UK. The United States is behind on using this easy-to-collect tax to help solve our deficit as many other nations are doing. Wall Street used to pay its fair share and there was “Prosperity for All”. We need to require it of them now when it is “Austerity for All--Except for Them”. The imminent importation of drone tactics from the war on terror into the U.S.A. is the most perilous development in the world of civil liberties. When combined with high-definition cameras, facial recognition technology, infrared technology that can see through walls, or cellphone interception technology, surveillance drones pose a very real threat to a citizen's civil liberties and rights of personal privacy. Domestic intelligence and law enforcement agencies have no business spying on us in our own backyards. Now is the time to oppose the Dept. of Homeland Security and any other agencies involved in these activities.

These animals need the state to step in. We have to be their voices, this facility stinks, it's filthy, the only hope these animals have are the volunteers that go there twice a week. The shelter does not follow the guidelines set forth by mandated laws as to what each animal must have. I was there, I cried for the animals, now something must be done on their behalf
