Tracking the Pack WOLF 832F LAWIN December, wolf 832F ventured out of her territory in Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley. As soon as she left the park, she lost its protections, and the wolf, a 6-year-old alpha female, was shot and killed by a hunter. Dear President Obama, US Congress, Governors, and State Legislatures, We would like to enact the WOLF 832F LAW. This law would prohibit anyone from injuring or killing a wolf wearing an expensive GPS tracking color. Most of the time these wolves are the ALPHA wolves in their pack. When they are killed, the pack is without it's leader. The ALPHA wolves are critical for the packs survival. Along with providing scientists with valuable information about their every move and give them insight into their lives.88 of 100 SignaturesCreated by DEBRA L. WARRENS

Limits on Parole Board Discretions! My concerns is keeping people locked up to long is a mental issue. People wondering why people get out and committ crimes. The board and whom ever is behind this issue needs to solve the issues. Revision needs to be address. The Paole Board treats the cases and issues like slavery or slaves. People who has did the time that was required to come up for parole needs to let them out and have a second chance. Keeping people locked up is not solving issues. I believe that what ever time is for the one shall stand for all. Too much rascisim is over powering. We need help and we people pay taxes to house inmates. That's not right!!!!3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dorthea Jackson

Fewer than 100 Wild Red Wolves Remain in the WorldThe North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission recently approved a temporary state rule that allows spotlight hunting of coyotes at night throughout the state, including in the area inhabited by the only wild population of red wolves, one of the world’s most endangered animals. Red wolves and coyotes look a lot alike, even in daylight. In nighttime conditions, it is nearly impossible to tell them apart. At least two wolves have already been illegally shot. Tell the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission: Don’t let anymore wolves die! Stop all coyote hunting -- daytime or nighttime -- within the red wolf recovery area!132 of 200 SignaturesCreated by DEBRA L. WARRENS

Spring ISD: Disposing of the "Layered Curriculum" format of teachingthis petition is how Spring ISD schools have created an ineffective learning technique called "Layered Curriculum" which result in the student teaching themselves on subjects and important topics that need to be taught by teachers. This teaching format is very time consuming and the students only have a short period of time to do it while the teachers sit at their desk and do absolutely nothing. The curriculum consist of 60 or more assignments, which are each worth a certain amount of points, for example maybe 5. the teacher has the authority to give you the points or not if the work is not done to their pleasing, which the student does not know because it was not taught to them. I have been surveying and asking students and their grades from this lesson and the most responses i have been hearing is that their grades have been dropping because of it and not only in the class that they are doing the layer curriculum in but also in other classes because of how time consuming it is leaving them no time to focus on other things. This needs to be stopped as soon as possible because it is and will surely destroy our students future. (from personal experience)25 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emmuel Horace

GMO labellingWe should know what we are putting into our bodies. Labels on food products should indicate whether or not they contain GMO products.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peggy Jayne

Require GMO labelingI have a young granddaughter and I'm concerned about the effect that genetically modified food could have on her health. If Monsanto, and other chemical companies who produce GMO's think that this foods is safe, why are they so reluctent to have GMO's labeled? Many scientist have raised concern about the long-term effect of GMO's on the organs of growing children. Not enough research has been done. At least let the consumer make the decision to as to whether to purchase food that's been genetically modified or not. We need labeling for GMO's just as for fat/sodium/calorie content.39 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peggy Walker

Stop Governor McCrory from passing restrictive voting lawsGOP Governor Pat McCrory is planning to sign into law a tough voter ID law amoug the first pieces of state legistation. In conjunction with these new voting restrictions, Republicans all across the South used their control of state legislatures following 2010 to pass redistricting maps that will lead to new voting restrictions placing as many Democratic lawmakers into as few “majority minority” districts as possible as a way to maximize the number of Republican seats.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Mcneil

Georgeson Botanical Garden: Keep it Alive Another Year. The Georgeson Botanical Garden does not have funding to continue operations as usual. Although permanent funds are being sought, those would not be available until after 2014. Capital funds are needed in order to allow the gardens to continue operations. These funds will be used to provide two student summer interns and one winter intern, to continue to expand peony research plots and to continue to restructure the gardens to be lower maintenance in the future. The Garden provides not only valuable research and educational opportunities, but also is a highly valued public space for the residents of Fairbanks and visitors alike. The Gardens are a rich community resource that should be supported.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Georgeson Botanical Garden Society
