AZ State Attorny Tom Horne thinks school kids K-12 should be taught a "balanced approach" to climate change. This is just another attempt to "dumb down" our children and waste tax dollars on new text books!

I have had friends and business associates injured in car accidents by disracted drivers. I have survived over a dozen near misses as cell phone users in cars only have one hand free while turning or navigating. Drivers TEXT while stopped at stop lights and fail to move forward timely on green.

As a Florida voter, we cannot allow another bad election to happen in this state. We need to stop him before he leaves office. We will all be effected by this.

During the 1978 Constitutional Convention, delegates fought hard to create the partial public funding program that we now have. Delegate Naomi Campbell said during that Convention: " . . . if we think these tremendous sums being spent [on elections], these tremendous sums being contributed, are not sums for which we are going to ultimately pay because of poor government . . . and because of undue influence . . . we are fooling ourselves." We have let the partial public funding program decay over the past 30 years, and along with it our best chance at a truly functioning lawmaking arena. We need to break the cycle, and have the courage to save this program that delegates fought for in 1978.

I underwent extensive surgery to repair 3 hernias and torn muscles. The surgery required two surgeons. Before the surgery, I called Blue Cross to find out how much I would have to pay myself and the insurance company refused to tell me, except to say it would cover 80 percent of the "allowable amount." It would not tell me the "allowable amount." In the end, Blue Cross paid $1,076 of a $10,000 bill. I had the diagnostic and procedure codes when I called Blue Cross, they should have been required to tell me how much of the cost would fall to me. I may have waited another year for the surgery.

Way too much money and lives are wasted pursuing those who depend on medical marijuana. It is time for our state to catch up with the changing times and right this wrong.

The Council to vote to pass the Resolution submitted by Commissioner Acqunetta Anderson, SMD4A01 which supports legislation which strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban by moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test. Detachable bayonet mounts and flash suppressors are no longer considered military characteristics.

In the 2012 election more secret money poured into California election ads from out of state than you can imagine. Corporate money tried to influence our elections and silence the people of California! SB 52 has already passed the assembly but not in time to get to the State Senate. It will make it the law to identify the funders of ads for or against election issues, thus, helping the voters become more informed before they cast their ballots on candidates or ballot measures. Make your voice heard and support SB 52 the CA Disclose Act.

I see too many people in the convenience store buying lottery tickets who obviously can't afford it.

A third of our U.S. tax dollars went to the military in FY2011. We spend more on the military than the next 14 nations. Don't cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, access to parks, transportation and food safety, care of our earth. Cut military spending.

We need your help to change an outdated Administrative Code and general statues 20-125(b) that places police officers and the general public in grave danger, by not allowing them to properly respond to a life safety hazard. Currently company police officers (sworn law enforcement officers) are the only branch of law enforcement within North Carolina that cannot respond “Emergency (lights and sirens)” to an incident or officer in distress if the officer is located even one block outside their jurisdiction. Six (6) police officers died in North Carolina alone last year from line of duty deaths; please help us avoid the next tragedy.

This petition is about the plant Hemp, that the government and others lied to the American People about. We all have been affected. Hemp can heal all diseases, plus it has 50,000 other uses, it will bring job-creation as well. The government during George Washington's era use to put people in jail if they didn't grow Hemp, and now is the Time to tell the Truth about this plant so that the American People can Heal.
