  • no toll on 90 bridge from Seattle to east side
There is a toll on 520. Not all people who live on the east side are wealthy. Many retirees, many workers, etc. Its a federal highway for goodness sake. Its unfair.

  • Petition to cancel the MAP® test in Seattle Public Schools

  • Wisconsin Foie Gras Ban
Wisconsin is one of the many states that allows foie gras to be sold and bought in restaurant establishments, this cruel product has no use in our restaurants. Foie gras is made through a process of having a large metal pole being shoved down a helpless duck's neck. The ducks are often confined in cages and can't move. They are unable to fight back when they are being force fed, the sale of foie gras for human consumption violates the Poultry Products Inspection Act (PPIA) which states that they prohibit diseased, or "manipulated" meat from entering the food supply.

  • Governor Brown: Save our State and protect a finite water source.
My monthly water dept. bill is huge and I live in a home with only two people. This is distressing but I am worried that the over-population and over-building in California will create even more water shortages, especially in draught years, which are inevitable. It doesn't seem right to be in denial that there is no way to create more water which agriculture and cities depend upon.

  • Control the Bullets
Control the Bullets. Its that simple. If you control the bullets and allow only enough for target practice and safety and self defense, the innocent children will not be shot. Its as simple as that.

  • Changing Howard County, MD's School Start Times to 8:00 AM or Later.
When teens get the required 8.5 to 9 hours of sleep: • School attendance goes up, • Tardiness decreases, • They sleep less in class, • They get in fewer traffic accidents, • Visit nurses and counselors less often, and, • Report less depression and irritability. Starting school before 8:00 AM, without a doubt, undermines optimal academic achievement.
