President Obama has taken his team of food and farming leaders directly from the biotech companies and their lobbying, research, and philanthropic arms. Despite massive public opposition, last year the USDA streamlined its approval process for new genetically engineered seeds and crops, cutting in half the time it takes for them to enter the market. Proposition 37, the California ballot initiative for the labeling of GMO food, was narrowly defeated after being outspent by the opposition nearly 6 to 1, with a campaign of lies and misleading information. It is time we take a national stand against GMOs in food and agriculture.

I think it is unethical how Gov. Coumo and the New York state legislature operates in passing laws, for instance the recent gun law that was passed by rushing this bill thru without giving members of the legisature a proper chance look at the large document , some say the had 15 minutes to go over it and they admitted they did not know fully what they signed. Normally new laws are reviewed and properly debated for 3 days before anything is passed. No matter what side of the gun issue you are on rushing something like this is totally careless and unenthical and not the way a state or national goverment should operate.

States that have Republican Controlled Legislatures are proposing legislation to rig Presidential Elections by "Gerrymandering" the Electoral College in their favor in Swing States. This underhanded legislation is already up for a vote in Virginia and is being considered in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio. This must be stopped as it will take away the Democratic process of the Popular Vote in Presidential Elections.

My petition is about reasonable gun control. Too many people have died needlessly to continue the madness of this country's obsession with guns. Background checks must be implemented. I was almost killed by a person with mental illness who also had a gun. He had multiple arrests and was severely depressed. No one is trying to take away personal guns for safety, only the ones that shoot multiple rounds and are the weapon of choice for mass murder.
