As citizens of Florida we should have the right to a safer alternative mind altering substance. Marijuana is safer than alcohol and tobacco and has no addictive characteristics.

I am a senior and I would benefit from the use of medicinal marijuana. It is legal just over the line from me in DC. I sincerely believe other folks in Maryland would be helped if it could be legalized.

we saw how many people were standing in lines that were way too long and our right to vote was trying to be taken away by the republicans ,thinking the people would give up and go home and not vote . instead it made them even more strong and all the money that was allowed the republicans to use to work over the voting system didn't work . the people will fight this playing with the electorial votes to fix the voting so the republicans can win ,because they are so unpopular thats the only way they can win . as our president stated this was an important issue as is the republicans trying to get rid of social security ,medicare and medicade . we paid for these as we worked so they aren't entitlements they were earned ,by our hard work . jobs ,schooling ,the rights of women are all being targeted with and it's time to stop playing games with our lives ,and instead of spending your time attacking the president ,instead do your real job and keep you hands off the vothing rights ,medicare ,medicade and social security . i feel STRONGLY if the congress isn't doing their jobs again for the next four years then why pay them . if i haden't done my job i wouldn't have been paid and would have been fired . i WILL vote against every republican if this game they are playing doesn't stop ,and your blaming everything on our president ,just because he is for the poor and disabled ,and the republicans don't have a heart like our president they are for themselves and the rich . leave us alone and stop blaming the president for what busch did to ruin this country . signed totally disgusted !!!!delores and david roxbury

My niece has a bone disease and is in dire need of health insurance.

It is not reasonable to expect that teachers can or should do what we normally send in a highly skilled Special Weapons And Tactics police unit to do. Encouraging or sanctioning teachers to act as combatants is a set up for disaster. Let the teachers teach, counsel, and help students grow up to be non-violent people and let the police do the job of protecting them and their students while they do that.

While VA state senator Henry Marsh (D) went to DC to attend the inauguration, the state Republicans drove a bill through the legislature (50 Reps-49 Dems in Marsh's absence) a redistricting plan making it easier for Republicans to gain a majority.

We should protect our children and love ones by taking assault weapons such as the bushmaster use to slaughter 21 children while at school. The only hunting this assault weapon is good for is hunting people. Lets pass some sensible gun laws.

Here we sit paying more in support than we bring home. Due to the laws going on the previous years income. My husbands job is based on natural disasters. If no tragedy he dosent make money. And we have to wait until February of each year to reapply for a reduction. Wasting the courts taxpayers and our time. One year he made 52k the following year 40k and was made to pay support of the 52k from the previous year. While I sit and fight tooth and nail for the 2.25 I get monthly. Very sad. As well as having a child over 18 not living at home and with their own income and I am supposed to be responsible for the medical until they are 21. How come the father is not responsible?

I had an abdominal CT scan done recently, which took all of 15 minutes. I received a summary of the expense to my insurance and medicare of $4,457.30. I called my insurance to ask about this high price for a scan that only lasted 15 minutes and was told that it is at the discretion of health care institution for the charge. How can someone who has a high deductible or no insurance afford this? It disturbs me that health care is not affordable for all people.

I am increasing alarmed at the amount of money that you use to challenge, all Democratic, Federal Initiatives that have the favor of the majority of the American People. It is making our State a source of showing discourse to our Repubic as used on BBC News and Al Jazeera English.

Arizona's beautiful landscape is marred by broken glass, empty glass and plastic bottles and beverage cans. Urban areas have more recycling options, but rural Arizona has become a trash midden. Imposing a 2.5-cent recycling fee per bottle and can would increase recycling, reduce unnecessary waste, clean up the landscapes on which so much of our tourism economy depends, and could provide an allowance supplement for youngsters.
