I have stopped shopping at Wal Mart. Although, many companies products are made in other countries, Wal Mart's clothes are made in Bangladesh. A little over a month ago, there was a fire in one of those factories. 112 people died in that building. This is because all the doors, but one were chained and padlocked closed. This is so not right. I am boycotting Wal Mart until they can get their products made here, or until they can change the way their factories overseas are run and give those employees the same rights we have here.

As a grandparent I was so grieved by the Conn.school massacre. Many good things happen in our country when the right people volunteer.

Those 20 children and 6 adults died in a senseless massacre. The scale of the tragedy in Newtown, CT would not have been possible without the availability to private citizens of semi-automatic weapons and high capacity ammunition feeding devices. Give meaning to their deaths and a purpose to their families. You can make sense out of this tragedy by petitioning Congress to ban semi-automatic weapons and high capacity ammo feeding devices.

Create a Public Bank of Colorado that operates in the public interest, remove our tax monies from private banks, and deposit them in the Public Bank of Colorado, so that we can benefit as the original 13 colonies did, and the State of North Dakota does, by not giving away our money to the failed and corrupt Wall Street banks and their subsidiaries.

This can be a serious distraction and has been the cause of harmful accidents.

These are common sense laws that should have been made law years ago. This affects everyone's safety and should be put into law today.

You don't have to be a Mental Health professional to care about the state of the emotional and psychological well-being of our citizens. In the not-too-distant past, affordable behavioral/mental health services were available in most towns and cities in this great country. Services included psychotherapy, family counseling, psychiatry (including medication management) and various other important community programs for people struggling with emotional problems, trauma, and/or mental illness. In the last ten-fifteen years, these programs have been systematically stripped from the federal and state budgets. Not only did this send countless mental health workers all across the country to the unemployment lines, it more importantly left hundreds of thousands of mentally ill people to fall through the cracks of our society. With the latest horrific school shooting occurring in Newtown, Connecticut, we are clearly sowing the seeds of this outrageous decision to marginalize the most mentally unstable citizens of our country. We can no longer hopelessly sit by while more innocent people's lives and families are destroyed by our government's unwillingness to shoulder the responsibility of the mental health crisis we are clearly experiencing. We must demand REAL REFORM -- and insist on the re-funding of public mental health programs and services. And we must demand it NOW. We can turn this crisis into an opportunity to take real action, TODAY. Thank you.

The 2nd Amendment protects the right of the people collectively to form a well regulated militia. This amendment enacted in 1791 is out of date, and in fact has been misinterpreted by the courts that everyone has a right to a gun. Currently, many local governments attempts to enact common sense gun control have been continuously blocked and overturned. Its time to get rid of this amendment.

How many innocent lives does it take to realize that we need more protection in our schools. We need to not only make gun laws stronger, but provide each school nation wide with metal detectors. Security guards, and cameras inside and out. The cost may be great, but saving lives is greater. Children should feel safe in schools and parents should feel at ease.

Everyone is affected in someway when the community's safety is jeopradized.

Guns are not toys.

It is apparent that a majority of the elected members of the United States Congress do not have the political courage or political will to enact meaningful legislation to deal with the epidemic of gun violence facing our nation. Accordingly, under Article V of the United States Constitution, we the citizens of the United States demand that the Legislatures of two-thirds of our States apply to the Congress to call a Constitutional Convention to adopt the Amendment to the United States Constitution set forth below.
