• Realistic Gun Laws
We sympathize with those who suffered a horrible loss in the recent wave of killings. However, we ask the public and politicians not be adversely effected by unbalanced individuals. It is those individuals that killed so many people – NOT THE FIREARM! A firearm is like a car. The only way a car can kill or injure someone is when it is being driven by an irresponsible individual. The only way a firearm can injure or kill, is if it used by an unbalanced individual or a criminal. We ask that President Obama not attempt to implement any unfair firearm laws. Good, honest, lawful individuals in the USA should be allowed to own firearms; just they are allowed to own vehicles.

  • Institute State Gun Licensing Similar to Auto Licensing
In our current political climate, the 2nd Amendment will not be repealed. However, the Supreme Court will likely not interfere if individual states apply licensing requirements similar to those required to operate a motor vehicle. Since individual states control gun licensing, I am asking my state to take up the matter, and institute a reasonable set of prerequisites for gun ownership.

  • America's Mental Health Care in CRISIS!
America needs proactive measures to insure mental health issues be addressed and treated in every town, city, and state in the USA. By endorsing and funding such services, think of the prevention of problems from the troubled teen, dysfunctional family, to the addiction issues, abuse issues, and crime. Perhaps the recent murders of innocent children/adults in Newtown, CT. could have been prevented if help had been readily available to those "crying" out in need.

  • Stop gang child rapist from selling Proctor and Gamble products
An admitted gang child rapist, Vic Sotto, is the pitchman for P&G products in the Philippines. He and two other adult males raped a young Filipino-American girl and then to avoid the death penalty, simply admitted the rape. They were never prosecuted but the victim committed suicide several years later. Since the gang rape all three men involved, but especially Vic Sotto, have gone on to great wealth and fame in the Philippines. That is why P&G Philippines is using Sotto to sell their products here. But P&G is an American company, and it is they whom I want to petition to stop using this horrible child rapist to make money for them. The Philippines is a racist, sexist country where such men as Sotto are revered. But NOT in the U.S.

  • Call to have Boehner resign!
John Boehner has lied and manipulated the public by not working in our best interest with job creation and tax reform on the richest Americans. He has blocked productive legislation at every turn, ignoring the will of the people who have spoken in the last election. Gun laws are bought by the NRA and John Boehner and the "Tea Party" ignore the consequences...of the toxic mix created by untreated Mental Illness...due to lack of health care and the billion dollar loosely regulated sales of guns.... We need more competent politicians...from the top down....

Restrictions to present gun laws. Yes, by the recent shooting of kids in Conn. and all of the other mass shootings in our country. Something has to be done to stop such horrific violence.

  • Police and Sheriffs Who Carry a Gun Can Work in the "Sun." It is Currently Unconstitutional to Ta...
In Collier County and Tampa, I have been involved with police, sheriffs, and state troopers who acted Illegally because they knew that the only thing that could stop them, audio and video taping, could not be done-- unless you want a felony and jail term. We reject the wish of the state legislature as a violation of the constitution, and sheriffs, state troopers and the police will be taped and "outed" for crime.

  • Protect our 2nd Amendment rights!
People are blaming guns for the Sandhook tragedy, yet the same tragedy has been enacted in China with knives. Guns are a reality, and we can't uninvent them. Even if you strip every honest American of his guns, the criminals will still have them. Look at Canada, Australia, and the UK. The people committing these crimes want attention, and use guns to get it, but if guns are not available, they will use knives, make bombs, or go back to sticks. Our Second Amendment rights are meant to allow us to protect ourselves, and all our other rights, from a tyrannical government, and from tragedies like Sandhook.

  • Don't blame guns for criminal acts
With all these shootings going on, many people are turning to outlaw firearms simply because of their own misinformation. It is a national tragedy that occurred at CT and my heart goes out to all the families. People need to get real, banning guns to stop crime is like banning cars because of drunk drivers. I for one will not stand by while uninformed individuals blame firearms for the acts of deranged individuals. We need harsher laws when it comes to background checks and private weapons sales. WE NEED TO EDUCATE our population about firearms and firearm safety!.

  • Do not punish those who use guns responsibly.
Once again gun control and banning guns will be thrust into the spot light as it does every time a tragedy like this occurs.
