Evil exist in the world laws will not stop it

I am heartbroken by the violent loss of life in Connecticut. And like so many other people, I want to help the families and communities that are hurting directly and hurting most. But it's not enough to help out after the fact. We don't just need response; we need prevention.

My petition is to target our members of Congress to make some changes in the laws regarding three (3) items that are out of control, and they are the only one's who can change them. 1. Term limits: as most Congress members have made careers out of politics, they need to pass a law that imposes a two (2) four year limit on term as a Congress member. So as to eliminate the corruption that comes with career politics. 2. Campaign finance reform: I don't have the specifics, but campaign finance reform will eliminate big business and corporate America from buying career politicians. (See change 1 above). 3. Abolish Lobbying: Lobbying used to be called bribery and was illegal. Somehow the name was changed to lobbying, yet the crime is still being committed on a daily basis. We need to stop lobbying in Washington D.C.

Tragedies have occurred across America as the result of the ease of access to purchase guns and assault rifles. Innocent lives have been lost, families have been shattered, hearts have been broken throughout our country. Since the tragedy at Columbine rocked the nation, countless tragedies have followed with no action from lawmakers. To President Obama, who has run his last election and has no excuse for not doing the right thing, and to every U.S. Senator and Congressperson who lacks the courage to stand up to the NRA: It's not just the mass murders the occur with disturbing frequency. As an activiist for Women's and Girl's rights in the state of Nevada, I find that Democrats and Republicans alike, even in rural areas want in insure that our country's leaders are not owned by the kingdom of corporate money leading to the attempted takeover of the sanctity of each vote counting in our democracy and the voice of the people over the money of the corporate rule, moves us all to continue to raise our energies and our voices to keep our Constitution OUR constitution.
