• Fairness And Justice
Inequality and corruption in sentences for white color and government crimes. There is too much latitude in sentencing guidelines. For similar crimes, sentencing can vary significantly among judges and among counties and cities. It is time to standardize criminal sentences.

  • Lines Interfere with National Elections Act
The Poll Watcher Brigade, Inc., a non-partisan organization domiciled in Tennessee supports the passage of the Line Act (or the Lines Interfere with National Elections Act). Senator Barbara Boxer introduced the bill. The election reform legislation is designed to guarantee that all American voters will have an equal chance to cast a ballot in federal elections without facing hours-long delays at their polling places. Voters in Florida, Virginia, Ohio and other states waited in line for up to seven hours to cast a ballot. The bill would require the Attorney General, in consultation with the U.S. Election Assistance Commission to issue new national standards by January 1, 2014 to prevent a waiting time of more than one hour at any polling place. The bill would also require states where voters endured long lines to implement plans to fix the problems before the next federal election.

  • Yellow-light times
According to the National Motorists Association, "Cities and for-profit camera companies maximize revenue by setting yellow-light times that are too short...it jeopardizes motorist, cyclist, and pedestrian safety...It is not surprising that Chicago is able to generate annual red-light camera ticket revenue in excess of $70 million by setting its yellow lights at deficient 3.0 second intervals." Chicago has set all of its yellow lights to 3 seconds, even at intersections where traffic is moving at over 40 mph. The NMA cited one study that found just one additional second of yellow time can reduce the number of collisions in an intersection by 40 percent. For example, the New Jersey legistature has implemented the safer yellow-light formula delineated in the "PETITION STATEMENT."

  • Hold Pharmaceutical Companies Accountable
Pharmaceutical companies should not be allowed to violate FDA regulations and receive a slap on the wrist. Stricter penalties for pharmaceutical companies who violate regulations, promote the unethical distribution of their drugs, and practice false price reporting need to be put in place. Pharmaceutical companies are given a patent for a drug and its specific purpose. If this is violated, in the free market economy we have today, shouldn't that privilege be revoked?

  • Payroll Holiday Tax Extension
Lowering the payroll taxes boost the economy in several ways: 1). The holiday payroll tax puts more money into the pockets of virtually all Americans. For lower and middle class families that means paying for slightly higher produced goods and services while they still have money to save. 2).For the households constrained by excessive borrowing in the turbulent years, it means quicker repayment of debts and a faster return to normalcy for their families. 3).Finally, for employers considering extension, it also means slightly higher real wages for workers at no higher cost to the employer. That means at the gross margin it makes more sense to hire and boost productivity through staffing. And extending the payroll holiday tax is a very important issue for lower and middle income families. Over the course of one year, the average American family will keep approximately $1,200.00 rather paying the sum out in taxes. Businesses will receive tax credits for creating and hiring new positions. Extending the payroll holiday tax is a win-win situation for lower and middle class families along with small businesses.

  • Show Respect for Our President
President Obama has been the target of more disrespectful public acts than any president in recent history. Examples include the "birther" fabrication and the flaunting of racist signs at rallies.
