Mr President, and Representatives of the People--House & Senate, Please accept our bread and butter request to continue to support us with unemployment benefits that are due to expire December 29, 2012. Unemployment is not an entitlement; it is an insurance; a fund we paid into! The latest report is that the extensions will create 300,000 jobs! One dollar of unemployment is re-invested in the community $1.60. Some of us will end depending on other social support, the end result of which will be the government still paying. We need a profound solution and not band-aids. The meager payments end up spent on survival bills and are still helping the economy! A fellow person affected explains to me that she is going to college for special ed and she was cut off at her last semester; these cuts are affecting a lot more people than just the unemployed. Personally, if I do not land a job by the end of the year, I will be homeless. Please ask your information services how much I have contributed to our beloved nation!!! Save Colorado Water, stop fracking

A soldier fights in many combat zones (obtaining medals) making many sacrifices for OUR COUNTRY over the past 26+ years and then suffers from mental and medical issues. Tries to retire and receive disability. ALL DENIED for himself and his family. Paperwork lost ?, or was it a misplacement on purpose?S Rumor has it that the base Colonel thinks PTSD is for the weak minded. Maybe the combat has made the solider's mind weak? Procedures not followed? The military does what it wants, when it wants. Soldiers records are owned by them and can be altered. Help stop the deceitful ways. Give the soldiers and their families what are due them for the sacrifices they have made for all of us!

How do the courts transform a stay-at-home parent into a parent who only gets to spend every other weekend with the kids? The California Family Code contains a presumption of "shared custody," but fails to define what that means. As a result, judges routinely assign one parent primary custody and limit children to spending 4 days or less per month with the other parent. If a judge feel it is in the best interest of the child to spend less time with one parent, the judge should be required to specify what steps the noncustodial parent needs to take in order to be granted equal time with the child.

Congress has until December 31 to make a critical and historic choice. They can ask the richest 2% of Americans to pay their fair share, or they can put more money in wealthy pockets at the expense of the struggling middle class.

Gas prices had increased significantly 3 months before elections because few companies control it. Look at the stock of Tesoro which has gone from about $11.00 to about 41.00 in last one year. Difference between wholesale and retail prices was about 40 cents in NJ. The difference during the 3 months before Nov. election was about 1 dollar. The consumers were defrauded by gas and oil cartel.

Marijuana has many medicinal values. This petition is to give doctors and patients the right to choose a safer alternative to treating many painful and life-threatenning health conditions.

You represent the people of the United States. Stop political posturing and make reasonable compromises to avoid the so called "fiscal cliff". This equivocation prevents businesses from planning expansion and, if not solved, will lead to another recession or depression.

The petition is geared toward the Armed Forces. I currently have 23 years of military and earned my Masters Degree in 2009. However, I am not schedule to retire from the military for another five or ten years. Seniors officers have the training to achieve or earn the degree before exiting the military, however, the senior enlisted are not afforded the same opportunities.

We seem to be making enemies the world over with our aggressive and arrogant attitude. Let us give peaceful strategies a chance.

Congress as our Elected Leaders should set the Example and cut their benefits and retirement first.
