For as long as I can remember, there has been a National Tree Lighting during the holiday season in Washington DC. Year after year, I reserve hope that for once, the National Tree would actually look like a TREE and not some lit up mound with a star on top of it.

First Data Global Leasing corporation was introduced to me by my bank and has been nothing but a sickening headache since. They represented themselves as one company then when problems arose as a result of their actions, they are suddenly two separate entities that don't relate to one another. My contracts and financial information was sold to another company without my consent and I'm being harassed for payment on equipment I no longer have or was able to use by the company they sold my contract to! They are threatening to ruin my and my mother's credit. They have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau although they had 295 complaints this year alone--699 in total! Many are considered resolved based on the word of First Data regardless of the satisfaction of the customer. Hundreds of thousands of small business owners are suffering as a result of their shady business practices. The customer service is so rude and robotic. Their only goal appears to be amassing wealth by bullying small businesses worldwide into paying thousands of dollars for a machine worth a couple of hundred. So who's really hurting the economy? Search them up for yourselves and you will find a trail of tears!

Ballot access for average citizens to become candidates is prohibitive. Qualifying fees are too high, and petition targets too high for those who might attempt to qualify by the petition method. The People should not be locked out of the opportunity to serve. I, the undersigned, hereby petition that you take up the issue of Ballot Access Reform, and make adjustments to the system to open the opportunity to serve to those who would seek it. Elevate Debate :: As the People demand that money be removed as the primary and central driver of our Elections, we petition you to legislate a return to the process that was historically at the heart and center of Democracy, which is the process of Debate. In Florida, with 67 Supervisors of Elections managing multi-million dollar budgets, it seems reasonable to charge these offices with the organizing and administration of a program of Debates, for the benefit of the voters, to be held in public places, and to be filmed and archived to be made publicly accessible through the Internet throughout the Election Cycle. Candidates should be required to participate in a minimum number of direct debates with their opponents, at prescribed intervals in the Current Campaign Election Cycle, or face disqualification from the ballot. If a candidate has a specific legislative agenda and specific proposals, that candidate shall be required to present that specific legislative agenda and proposals in their campaign literature, and on campaign websites that are published to inform the voters. I work for the USPS and cutting Delivery Days will Cost 1000's of Jobs and Will be More Work for less pay for those who don't lose their jobs. The excuse that the internet has ruined the USPS is partially true with mail volume but Parcels, Magazines , Meds, Etc have all increased. The USPS wouldn't be in the Red if it wasn't for Congress in 2006 Passed a Mandate to Pre Fund FUTURE Employees Retiree Benefits for the next 75 yrs at $5.5 Billion a yr for 10 years.

It is long past time to end the secret Stellar Wind' program (OK'd by President Bush after 9/11) that the NSA/FBI uses to conduct surveillance of US citizens internet communications/e-mail. The program was exposed by Whistle-blower Wm Binney! This program is clearly unconstitutional but far from it being ended by President Obama at this time, a huge storage facility is currently being completed near Boulder CO for storing data from this ongoing program! !

We need to get this country back in order. Our children are falling behind, far to many people are ill, hungry, homeless, or living in poverty for our tax dollars to be going to wars & other countries. We The People want Congress to end out of country spending until this country is in order!

I believe that this present Congress has got to be the worst Congress we have had in all the years I've been around. Politicians have began to make serving in political positions a career and family heritage (the Bushs') not serving the people.. Warren Buffett has some great ideas about the politicians... who really want to represent the people. Please read the list of demands as citizens for people who really want to serve the people

My issue is that a plant that has literally hundreds if not thousands of uses including recreational use for winding down,stress and anxiety management along with pain management and that it is perfectly safe for anyone to use while alcohol kills thousands is still not legal to consume or sell.
