Let's stop gutting Social Security, Medicare, and other necessary programs in an attempt to balance the budget. Keep taxpayer money in the United States until we get out of debt by ending government giveaways to foreign countries at taxpayer expense.

This morning the New York Post ran a cover photo of Queens father Ki Suk Han that was both shocking and sad. The photo showed Mr. Han standing on the subway tracks seconds before he was killed by an oncoming train. The photo ran under the horrifying headline "This Man is About to Die." Not only was this image disturbing and frightening, but it showed an extreme lack of respect for Mr. Han's family and loved ones. Should Mr. Han's children have to see this image plastered on newsstands and across the internet? While the NY Post and its editor, Col Allan, have a history of tasteless cover images, this image is so inappropriate as to require action. Please join me in letting The Post know your disgust at this type of shock journalism. Pledge to boycott next week’s issues of the NY Post, unless all proceeds of today's newspaper are donated to the family of Mr. Han. The New York Post making money off such a tragedy is appalling and inexcusable, and we need to let them know.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced that he joined the steering committee of “Fix The Debt.” This is a group of corporate CEO’s who are pushing to balance the budget on the backs of middle and working class Americans. Mayor Villaraigosa should immediately resign from the organization. Fix The Debt’s plan includes major cuts to Social Security and Medicare while cutting taxes for millionaires and billionaires. This approach is not balanced and it is unfair to people like me. Expecting us to give up essential portions of our social safety net to give the wealthiest more tax breaks is wrong. As somebody who volunteered and knocked on doors to help elect for Mayor Villaraigosa, I feel disappointed and betrayed. As former chair of the Democratic National Convention, it is inappropriate that Villaraigosa use his position to help this corporate backed group gut Social Security and Medicare, which many of us will need someday. Making illegal for anyone under the age of 13 to ride in the front seat of a car. My 7 year old niece was recently seriously injured because her aunt let her ride in the front seat with no booster seat and they we're t-boned by another car because she lost control of her car on bad roads.

They represent the wealthy and vote against the rest of Americans.

The LDS church controls laws and regulations, why is it illegal to be an adult in the state of Utah? You can't buy alcohol of any sort in the grocery stores. You have to go a state ran liquor store!and where is all the money going from the profit of the so called liquor ? The church maybe?

Styrofoam takes too long to decompose, paper is a better choice for our environment.

I am a foreign medical graduate and I cleared USMLE STEPS . Very hard to get into residency programs to be a physician in USA. We spend lot of years in USA by waiting to get into residency programs. What will be our future? Please think on alternative career for us like allowing us give licencing exam for Physician assistant.

We need three things: a cap on gas pricing no more government subsidies,and to start thinking about having federal gas stations.

HJR 45 also stands for the proposition that the General Assembly (and by extension any legislative body ie. county board/city council) can just set a cap on pay increases effectively gutting any union's ability to NEGOTIATE over wage increases. This basically guts the collective bargaining process whereby employees have the ability to obtain fare wages and benefits based on several factors including comparability.

As an Israeli-American, I believe that the building of 3000 housing units in East Jerusalem is an affront to the peace process and a disgrace to mankind. This current Israeli government is completely out of control and is creating so much damage to the people of Palestine AND Israel who both deserve better. It is time for change. It is time for emotionally intelligent adults to run countries. Enough of this madness! Time to wake up!!!
