• Senator Landrieu: Don't Cave! No more tax cuts for the top 2%, and no deals that cut benefits!
In these times of building our struggling economy, it has never been proven that reducing the tax burden on the very wealthy has always directly resulted in their investment in our domestic economy, and the expansion of employment opportunities for the great majority of our people. Nor have the wealthy always been known to put their tax savings directly into play in our economy. But there has been a proven correlation in middle and working class people with a little extra money actually spending it domestically, regionally, and locally.

  • No Cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security
Republicans are pressuring Democrats to trade cuts to these programs before agreeing to higher taxes for the wealthy. We need to pressure our Representatives to "HOLD THE LINE" on NO CUTS to the safety net!

  • Remove Kristine E. Drettwan as Walworth County Family Court Commissioner
Family Court Commissioner Drettwan, is your classic case of wanting to become a Judge to help and bring fairness to the good people of Walworth Col., But the truths of the Job has taken its told on her and she is no longer Fair or impartial. Here in Wisconsin, Separations and family custody is very simple, unless onside can prove the other unfit. It's 50/50 placement and basic child support guild lines are followed when requested. But Kristine E. Drettwan Does care about the law or even being fair. I sat for two day watching Kristine E. Drettwan practice, Time and time again she had decided who she liked a head of time and punished the other person regardless of evidence to the contrary. Most importantly the Marjory of her ruling of "temp" status are over turned by the Judge. This makes the position Family Court Commissioner wasteful and unnecessary. If no matter what her ruling is, you are going to have to go before another judge again to get a fair hearing. It makes the time and money standing in front of her useless and wasteful (and in the meanwhile the child of the Separation and family custody suffer) Long and short because of her inability to be fair .. Makes an already difficult, expensive and complected processes, Even more so and unnecessary!

  • Congressman Huelskamp: Support the Common People
The nation voted for the ideas presented by President Obama concerning the preservation of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, without cuts. The winning vote also included a plan to end the Bush tax cuts for the richest 2% of Americans. Although Kansas is a red state, many of us believe strongly that cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security should NOT finance tax cuts for the wealthy. Our congressman should represent us, too.

  • Reform apportionment for all elected offices
The American people have been disenfranchised by both parties. In the past election Democrats received more than a million more votes for house seats than Republicans, but Republicans hold a majority in the House. The House is the People's House but the people's will is not expressed in the House of Representatives. This and voter suppression are killing our democracy. All allocations for federal, state and local offices has to be done by a nonpartisan committee using computer models of approximately equal geographic area and equal population density!

American citizens who are adopted are denied their civil and human rights by having an amended birth certificate and not having access to their original birth certificate. Their own search for their identity is denied. The need for their original birth certificate involves medical information and more.

  • Urge Inclusion in Popular Tween Magazines
Magazines that target tween girls have an obligation to ensure the images they present are positive, balanced and honest. According to the 2010 US Census Bureau, approximately 5.2 million children under the age of 15 have a disability. American Girl and Discovery Girl magazines need to increase representation of girls with disabilties not just as a 'special feature'-but as part of every issue.
