Ever since I heard about the shooting that occurred in Aurora, Colorado on July 20th, 2012, I have been following the case. This is a devistating event for not only the shooting victims and their families, but the entire nation. As I obtained information on the alleged shooter and the evidence collected, I noticed that there were a lot of missing pieces and strange twists. Many other individuals feel this way about the case against James Holmes. Basically, I feel that information is missing pertaining to other suspects that might have been involved in the shooting. I feel that the suspect, James Eagan Holmes, did not act alone or possibly did not act in this crime at all. I am also concerned about the treatment James Holmes is receiving while incarcerated in Arapahoe County jail.

The destruction of the rain forest is accelerating. Stop chemical companies from controlling our food. GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) have been shown to cause tumors in test animals, yet they are already approved to be in our food supply. The government must require these foods to be labeled. We have the right to know what is in our food. GMO's should be banned from this country as many other countries have already done.

After centuries of foot-binding, China is selling fashion footwear to American women. The workmanship in these shoes & boots is terrible, & they often bear reputable American labels, & they are usually made of vinyl or “pleather” passing for genuine leather.They never fit properly, & can neither be polished nor repaired by shoemakers. I have European & American-made shoes & boots that still look good after 20 years of care. I treasure them, because for every one of them in my closet, 3 Chinese-made shoes have been trashed after a couple of seasons. Personal experience? A year-long running gun battle with Donna Karan over a pair of boots that cracked & turned out to be vinyl; Bass of Maine, once reputable maker of sturdy, outdoor footwear, nearly crippled me after 3 outings, with a pair of lace-up “shoe-boots”; Even Aerosole, known for comfort, sells lethal boots Made In China, apparently for women with bound toes; another happy return.

We do not have a spending problem in this country; we have a revenue problem. In addition to letting the Bush tax cuts expire for the top bracket, we should add at least one higher tax bracket for those earning over one million dollars.

Obama needs to appoint judges, a Secretary of State, etc. The "silent filibuster" allows senators to block appointments and other business without disclosing their names. (Note that the first day of a new session is the only day to change the rules in the Senate.) I am an adoptee of Minnesota who has an amended birth certificate. This is not right. I should be able to have my original birth certificate just like ever other citizen. Amended birth certificates are a legal fiction that should be ended.
