• Immigration Reform NOW!
The US needs to reform its immigration laws because current laws are insufficient to address realities on the ground, which leads to millions of people being treated inhumanely. Enforcement of current laws is lacking in some areas [employers who hire unskilled labor without being penalized, making huge profits], and is over the top in other areas [undocumented workers who are treated like animals whether in labor camps or in prisons]. This reality on the ground is unworthy of the land of the free, and we need to change it.

  • Multinational Corporations Must Pay Taxes On Overseas Profits!
The Fiscal Cliff is coming, we have been bombarded about Citizens United and with Republican Candidate Romney saying "Corporations are people, too" if corporations are people then why not treat them as people. If you do not pay your taxes, you have liens slapped against your property, judgements go against you and sometimes you are put into jail for not paying your taxes. Why should corporations be any different? Congress and the IRS must hold Multinational Corporations to the same standard. If they do not bring their approximately 1.5 Trillion in profits back to the United States then Congress and the IRS must stand up to them and force tax liens against them, slap jugdements against them and if necessary slap them in jail.

  • Prohibit "riders" being attached to unrelated bills.
For decades, riders have been attached to bills. Some riders were so ill advised that legislation that was beneficial was "killed" because of it. Alternately, there have been bills (like the Federal budget) that have been passed inspite of totally unrelated riders that unfairly favored a select few...or harmed a great many because the original legislation had to pass regardless of the inappropriate rider(s). If these riders are so important, they should be debated on their individual merits and attached to related legislation, not used as weapons or sneak thieves.
