This years election and elections past; we have experienced out of control spending, voter fraud, ballot errors, ballot equipment errors with a blind trust system that offers no conformation of receipt for the individual voter. We need an more fair and transparent voting system that not only repairs the present problems but returns the confidence of the system back to the people while empowering their voice and options.

Reports have surfaced of serious confusion about the enforcement of the voter ID law across Pennsylvania. Signs that incorrectly state that identification is required have apparently been posted at all of Crawford County’s polling sites. In Butler County, people at the polls have been announcing to voters standing in line that they need photo ID to vote. That is just not true! The state's top election officials must take immediate action to make sure this is not happening in Butler County or anywhere else in Pennsylvania. This is another in a series of voter suppression actions by the Pennsylvania Republicans, who spent months trying to pass a discriminatory Voter ID law in Pennsylvania to deliver the state to Mitt Romney. After a lengthy court battle and tons of public pressure, the judge hearing the case issued an injunction preventing the law from being implemented for this election. Yet even after the ruling, the Department of State continued to run misleading television advertisements and mailed flyers to voters at home falsely implying Pennsylvania voters need to a show a photo ID in order to vote--potentially frightening thousands of voters from going to the polls. Early voting in person is allowed with no excuse required in 32 U.S. states and in D.C New York should be leading the way with this. Make this happen!

Reports have surfaced of voter intimidation in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. People at the polls have seen Republicans stopping people wearing Obama shirts saying they can't go in and vote. The state's top election officials must take immediate action to make sure this is not happening in anywhere in Pennsylvania.

Only hours after the polls opened, there have been reports from the NH AFL-CIO of poll workers in Dunbarton telling voters that they cannot cast their ballots without showing photo identification. This is not only false information, it is against New Hampshire law! We need to call on Secretary of State William Gardner and Governor John Lynch to take immediate action to make sure no one is being denied their right to vote in Dunbarton--or anywhere else in New Hampshire.

U.S.: End the Electoral College reign and use total votes to decide who wins elections.

In the spring of 2008, Aaron Fisher--Victim 1 in the Jerry Sandusky case--then a freshman at Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania; revealed that former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky had been molesting him since he was 12 years old. However, when Aaron told his mother and school principal Karen Probst about what had happened, Probst told Aaron and his mother, Dawn Daniels, to "go home and think about it" rather than go to the police. As the investigation unfolded, it emerged that assistant principal and head football coach Steve Turchetta had allowed Sandusky to take Aaron out of class on numerous occasions, and even allowed him to take Aaron off-campus. Turchetta never informed Daniels that this was happening, even after growing suspicious of Sandusky's motives. Three years later, during Fisher's senior year, Daniels learned that some other students, apparently blaming Fisher for getting Penn State coach Joe Paterno fired, had threatened to beat her son up. When it didn't appear that Probst was taking the threat seriously, Daniels was forced to remove Fisher from school.

People are being pushed away from their fundamental right to vote. Why? They have to work! We need a national holiday so that working people can vote without having to choose between their country and their job. We could open more poll places because more people would be able to participate in both voting and volunteering. Students will grow up knowing the importance of their parents voices having meaning, of creating true change, and be able to witness it every year. How come we have not done this yet? It is common sense!

Make America's election day a national paid holiday

Ban pre and post employment drug testing for THC, specially in states where Medical Marijuana is legal to use with a prescription. Marijuana is beneficial to health in many ways unlike Tobacco or Alcohol which are legal despite its addiction and bad affects on society.
