We have truth in advertising for businesses. Something as important as running our country, we allow our politicians to lie and mislead the public over our airwaves. Special interest groups can lie about political issues over the public airwaves. We have the right to expect truth over our public airwaves.

This is the most significant way to curtail global warming and increased asthma and rare cancers spreading from the source. With 35 spills since TarSands started using pipelines the record insures massive harms to the U.S. The key scientists studying global warming tell us it means game over to control it.

I have a student loan that increases in amount every month. I will never have it paid off, I will never be able to discharge it in bankruptcy, even though the amount now owed is four times my yearly salary. Student loans are exempt from bankruptcy and cannot be discharged regardless of the ability of the debtor to pay except in instances of terminal illness or death. A judge may decide a debtor does not have the ability to pay any other debt, and discharge it, but those who hold student loans have a special protection from the government that allows them to divert social security payments, child-support payments, and garnish wages. It's time to take away that special protection for the banking industry and put student loans on a level field with all other consumer debt.

We in Idaho are facing a mirage of legislation restricting the education of our children, our rights to control our medical decisions, voting access, and our rights regarding Federal and public lands. The ALEC organization is listed as a non profit and writes and supports through various insidious means, bills to support these agendas. I would like to petition the Idaho Legislators, Idaho Superintendent of Education, and Idaho Governor to declare their ALEC current or the past membership.

To pass a national law/amendment that none of our elected representative serving in government should receive a retirement, or health care benefits, that is better than what the citizens of the United States receive when they retire. If such an amendment was added to our Constitution it would give the Congress and Senate the incentive to save Social Security and Medicare. This is one item every voter would agree on, except politicians of course.

During the two most recent debates, Congressman Ryan and Governor Romney both talked about bipartisanship and Congressman Ryan claimed that President Obama should have been able to do more because there was a Democratic majority in the House and Senate when he took office. These attacks went unanswered. President Obama needs to challenge these attacks in the next debate by pointing out Republican obstruction through their record use of the filibuster in the Senate.

The recent outbreak and confirmed deaths from fungal meningitis could have been prevented by regulating compounding centers. Individuals seeking help for pain management now live in fear of death from contaminants found in the steroid agent prepared at a Massachusetts Compounding Center. There are hundreds of these compounding centers operating and unregulated. Tell the White House and members of Congress in your state that we expect them to protect the public. The FDA must be charged with regulating these compounding centers now.

Why should anyone vote for Mitt Romney and trust him to treat us fairly on taxes when he refuses to disclose his own taxes?

I am a student at Johnson middle school and the school is great the only problem is the fact that we are not allowed to wear hoodies. Johnson is the only school that can't wear them. Sam Houston school jacket is a hoodie. When it is cold outside kids wear hoodies to school but they have to freeze during the day because they don't have a non-hooded jacket. I think that is the most unfair rule there could be we are a brand new school and we can't wear hoodies. I don't understand it.
