Chicago currently has an appointed Board of Education hand-picked by the mayor. The recent teachers strike in the city of Chicago has shown that the current board is interested in privatizing and dismantling public education. We need to elect and hold board members accountable through the democratic process.

In states that don't have a "valued policy law", disaster victims spend months-often years- wrangling with their insurance companies over the amount they're owed to rebuild or replace their destroyed home. It costs more than $250,000 to take a malpractice case to trial, including expert witnesses etc. Doctors are now being protected since victim's family cannot retain an attorney, cannot get subpoenaed records of what actually happened during the death or permanent medical damage. Doctors who kill or permanently harm are able to avoid Civil trials due to MICRA; thus keeping their doors open to you and your family. Unknowingly, you could be the next innocent patient who walks into a doctor's office who practices under the acceptable standard of care, and have a fatal outcome. Especially today when doctors across all specialities are overdosing and overprescribing opiates even to include these dangerous drugs in prescribed cough medicine. Speak Up for your life. Mitt Romney has no ability to understand the struggles of most Americans. I bet he has never, never-ever, had to worry about paying a personal bill (medical bill, electric bill, rent); well, I have–more often than I would like despite a professional degree and living within my means. And yet he thinks he can pass judgment on the working poor, elderly, and our veterans because they don't pay federal income taxes? People across the United States and in Ohio can barely believe that Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted is considering even more restrictive voter ID rules by reducing the types of IDs accepted at polls. It is happening, and we demand that Husted stop trying to suppress the vote in Ohio by these and other practices.

David Gregory has violated journalistic ethics by being the "keynote speaker" at a conference for a major Republican Advocacy group, the NFIB, on May 15, 2012. NBC claims he did not violate their rules. However, the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics states: Journalists should: — Avoid conflicts of interest, real or perceived. — Remain free of associations and activities that may compromise integrity or damage credibility. — Refuse gifts, favors, fees, free travel and special treatment, and shun secondary employment, political involvement, public office and service in community organizations if they compromise journalistic integrity. In addition, as moderator of Meet the Press, he shows his bias in favor of Republican politicians.

I have been horrified, sick and heartbroken for days on end. There is still a video on YouTube by user Icecake27 depicting an innocent puppy screaming and on fire. The murderers show lighting a match....and laughing while that poor baby was horrified, in extreme confusion and unspeakable agony. I along with many others have flagged this video to no avail. We all have begged YouTube to remove User and video. YouTube also states that they comply with the following: To not allow YouTube Users to share videos that contain 1. Violent or repulsive material 2. harmful or dangerous acts 3.hateful or abusive 4. an infringement of our rights The evil murder, torture, and sick crime is all of the above. Users have been removed for copyright infringement, this video, however has been posted since January of 2012 with desperate, distraught, pleas to YouTube for justice and immediate removal to no avail. Please help me and us, to remove that sick video. Please.
