All prisoners have been convicted of crimes, some petty and some heinous. They all have one thing in common: A serious lack of sincere rehabilitation efforts. Many are locked in their cells 24 hours/day, and the Light Deprivation alone puts them on a slippery slope towards recidivism. This excites those those that are building Privatized Prisons and can always use more customers. Let's let inmates see the light of day, get trained in a skill they can use to become taxpayers instead of deficit-stretchers, and STOP the pathetic War on Drugs. Then we will be addressing the deficit in multiple ways and minimizing the overcrowding that leads to Private Prison Profiteering. WWJD? Think it through.

This retirement is a proven system, this retirement has been built for over 100 years over 36,000 days. The Railroad is the history of the movement of the United States, The reason why we are where we are today, and the blood, hard earned sweat and years of life it has taken from our American families. I am a Veteran, a fourth generation railroader and I know how hard the history of railroaders have worked and what they gave up for our security. It is the system that us middle class have strived for our security, it's not that we are not willing to help but we have strength as a Union and is what America needs more of. We need to make more systems like railroad retirement not get rid of it for a short fix... Its like getting rid of the VA, is that next.

The South Carolina Election Commission Executive Director Marci Andino recently informed a federal court about how the new Republican voting law will intentionally disenfranchise thousands of voters. There are people in authority within state government who would like to make it more difficult for many citizens to cast their vote in the coming election. Their voter ID regulations would unfairly target older citizens, citizens of lower income, and potentially target citizens of color.

We are constantly being bombarded with false and distorted ads from the candidates. Companies can not advertise false claims prices and services, why can the politicians!

America needs to support Israel no matter what the circumstances are. God blesses nations that do this, and curses those that are against Israel. It is troubling and depressing to see our leader's ignorance on display. If we don't support Israel because of love, at least do it for our own survival.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is campaigning to effectively cut teacher's pay by 3%. The Michigan Supreme Court ruled the law unconstitutional yet Snyder is determined to hurt not only the teachers of Michigan but the children who attend all public schools.

We need a Consitutional Amendment that "people are people" and corporations are not to be treated as people for the purposes of contributing vast monetary political reservea and influence into the election process. The amendment needs to define the boundaries for corporate influence in U.S.'s polotical process, especially flowing unlimited money into their causes. This threatens our very democratic system to become a "corporatacracy".

On Wednesday, Sept. 5, Tommy Thompson's US Senate campaign sent an email to members of the media attempting to question Tammy Baldwin's "heartland values," launching a personal attack on Tammy Baldwin for her sexual orientation. Thompson's campaign is attacking Baldwin on the basis of her personal life. This is not the Wisconsin way. Thompson cannot remain silent another day. It's time for Thompson to take responsibility for his campaign and the divisive, personal attacks they’re pushing.

This petition is about balance in the media which is largely owned by the one percent. COMPANIES LIKE COX AND CLEAR CHANNEL OWN THOUSANDS OF STATIONS NOW. RUPERT MURDOCH, A NON-AMERICAN OWNS NEARLY HALF OF ALL THE TELEVISION SIGNALS IN THIS COUNTRY, PLUS HIS CABLE ASSETS LIKE FOX NEWS. I missed my brother's graduation because of a 17-hour flight delay, due to maintenance. They wouldn't even put people up in hotels. I know so many people who have spent nights in airports and on planes due to overbooking or late flights. People missing weddings, funerals, important meetings. The money that is lost due to thousands of people sitting around in airports waiting for their delayed flights has got to be astronomical, and it has a negative effect on the economy. The airlines keep doing it because they can. They have a monopoly. Without a government-imposed penalty system, this will never stop.
