The Texas Legislature and Governor Rick Perry want to eliminate Planned Parenthood from the Women's Health program in the state of Texas. Thousands of Texas women rely on Planned Parenthood for breast exams, pap smears and other preventative care as well as birth control and prenatal care.

After becoming an ordained minister in 2000, I accepted a full-time position for a church in San Diego. At that time, my clergy tax advisor suggested that I opt out of paying Social Security. I was told that this was the ethical & typical thing to do as clergy. What I was not advised was that this choice would be irrevocable except by a literal act of Congress. I didn't learn this till years later when I was hired by a different church. I want to be able to resume payroll deductions and become eligible for Social Security when the time comes. I want this petition to also support other ministers who may have also made this erroneous choice.

It has come to the attention of the people of North Dakota that in 2007 Representative Rick Berg voted in favor of North Dakota House Bill 1489 which would have imposed severe legal penalties, including life in prison without the possibility of parole, on doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and all others who in any way "assist, aid, abet, solicit, or incite" a woman in the obtaining of an abortion. There is no exception made if the pregnancy to be terminated is the result of rape or incest. Even if the life of the woman is in danger, the law would mandate that a physician must make every effort to save the life of both mother and child. It is time for you to repudiate your support for this sort of legislation. Abortion is a medical procedure and as such must be decided by a woman in consultation with her health care professionals. No part of that process should be criminalized. Not in North Dakota. Not anywhere. I urge you to clearly state your opposition to measures which seek to criminalize abortions for any woman.

The NBC broadcast network has commentators who are constantly shilling for the Tea-Party right/ The mainstream media is supposed to be unbiased: reporting news. Editorials are the traditional method for biased commentary. Today, Chuck Todd blatantly belittled the improved unemployment figure as "below expectations" and skewed by the "people who have stopped looking for work" This in not news; IT IS BIAS!

Commissioner Mary Adams of the Rochester School Board in Rochester, New York needs to issue a public apology for participating in behavior unbecoming of an elected official. We urge you to sign the letter of support demanding an apology based on the events detailed in the letter which will be sent to directly to Commissioner Adams' colleagues on the School Board.

The gasoline prices are sky rocketing to out of control numbers. These fuel price's move daily due to perceived costs not real costs. Most middle class americans are affected greatly by these prices which lower the standard of living considerably and the quality of life for each household. The prices are way out of hand; almost four dollars a gallon. We're calling for our government to mandate a gasoline cap on prices which is floating and controlled by real effects not perceived.

Our water bills are criminal. We are charged beyond what normal rates are. Service charge $94.62 Surcharge $51.45 other charges $23.22 1 ccf (100 cubit feet) $7.90!!

Recently I passed a sign damning "homosexuals". Angry, I went home and looked under Ohio Laws protecting gay people and found that there were none! We need laws like other states protecting gays and lesbians from attacks: physical, personal and professional! Will you join me in petitioning the Governor to this CAUSE and their RIGHTS!!
